Elena is the wonderful lady in accounts at EmblemHealth who tracked down my lost payment got it credited to my account this month. For the past eleven months, no one at EmblemHealth seemed to be able to accomplish this, no matter how often they told me it was in the works.

Good! Did she tell you what happened or was it simply lost in the system?

Last night DR George posted re Ethel Ennis:

I've never heard of her. $:-\$ I looked her up on YouTube and the first video that came up was My Foolish Heart. Very nice!

George, I hadn't heard of her either until some months back when BK mentioned her. She was a star during the 50s and 60s, but didn't care of the politics of the business and walked away from it. Still, it's surprising she isn't better known.

Re the annoying phone calls:

About a week ago I received a call in which a young woman in a stern voice say that this is the FINAL NOTICE about something having to do with student loans. Student loans?! Forty years ago, maybe! Clearly targeting the wrong person. Since then I've received the same call--from different phone numbers--and we're now up to six, I believe. Six final notices.

Stanley Donen, who directed several movies with Gene Kelly and later made Charade and Two for the Road, has died.

One of my favorite moments in movies is the barn dance in Seven Brides for Seven Brothers in which Michael Kidd's choreography and Stanley's camera made you forget the painted set.

I also loved Hepburn descending the staircase at the Louvre in Funny Face.

Just that it was now credited to my account. She's not going to tell me that some ass posted it to the wrong account and that a gagglew pof morons were unable to locate it.
