I look fine in a mini skirt and stiletto heels.

The blue has disappeared, and the rain, while not heavy, is still falling.  Damn them, damn them all to hell.

Both of Pat's fans wrote in - huh - DR RODZINSKI.

I don't know why but Bonnie Franklin got on my last nerve and I couldn't watch the show without wishing she would just go away.  Her voice and her actions AND reactions just seemed so false to me.  Just my opinion, of course - I am sure she has fans.  I just always wanted to imagine her as the lady on AIRPLANE sitting in the seat with a line of people waiting to slap her.

Good Afternoon!

WOW! It's only 1:45pm here on the East Coast, and we're already on Page 5!  Must be BK's new phone.

As for amusement parks and rides...

I've been to Disneyland once - when I was about eight years old.  But I've been to Disneyworld about every two to three years since I was 10.

I did ride "20,000 Leauges".  Actually, if my memory is correct, we also got stuck on it for a bit.  But since I was only eight or nine years old, I enjoyed looking out all the portholes.

Was it "Mr. Toad's Wild Ride" that got replaced with the new Winnie the Pooh attraction?  I like(d) both.

I also like the "update" to Space Mountain in Disneyworld.  Although, the original - slower - ride was fun too.

And then there's that stand-up "ride" that's hosted by Robin Williams as a robot.  Fun, and a good way to get out of the sun and heat for a little bit.

Favorite ride, hands down - or hands up - is "Twilight Zone: Tower of Terror".  And since those Disney Imagineers change up the rider every couple of years, it's always something new.  And it has one of the best "pre-shows" in the parks.

I used to be able to handle the 3-D simulators, but not so much lately.  Even the Star Wars ride had me a bit woozy.  Oh, and then there was Body Wars... WHOA!!!

I had a chance to ride "Mission: Space" before it opened, but since I had heard reports of the test dummies coming out with broken necks in the initial testings...

I've been wanting to ride the "Rock n Roll Roller Coaster"- the Aerosmith one - but each time I've been down there, the ride has been closed for maintenance.

And I do enjoy those "4-D" movies: The Muppet One, and, "Honey, I Shrunk the Audience".

-And the Shrek 4-D at Universal is very well done too.

Locally, there's Paramount's King Dominion.  Lots of great coasters - who's names escape me right now.  Although "The Volcano" is pretty fun - one of those "blast coasters" that shoots you straight up in the air for so many feet in so few seconds at so fast a speed.  WHEEEEEEE!!!!!!

And when I was on that audition tour with Universal Studios two summers ago, I did ride all the coasters in the Orlando park in less than two hours - the park attendance was low, and since I was an "employee" I also had a Fast Pass.  Needless to say, just because you can, doesn't mean you should.  It took me a few hours to get my feet - and head - back to normal.  "The Hulk", "Fire and Ice", the Drop Zone one, etc.

DR JMK - Just how much time do they give the auditionees at those regionals?

I'll be playing the Southeastern Theatre Conference (SETC) auditions in Greensboro, NC, next week, and I'm sure I'll have a memorable audition or two to report on.  In fact, I wonder if your memorable auditionee will be in Greensboro next week.  -Maybe I'll ask to waive the 90 second time limit if I see them in line.

Jose, my "Jose day" went fairly well...I cleaned and scrubbed the living room, and rearranged the furniture...but I did not get to the kitchen or the bedroom for cleaning purposes...since the weather was so nice I worked outdoors the rest of the weekend, and now my front and back yard look very nice! Planted a lot of flowers, edged and mowed the lawns, pulled weeds, and got everything ready for spring.

Speaking of spring it will be sunny and 63 degrees here today! Wow!

Good for you!  Well, it took me another day or two to get to my kitchen floor, so...

I wish I had more of a green thumb.  I tend to buy so-called indestructible plants since I am usually not here to tend to them daily.  It is amazing how long a Golden Pothos can go without being watered.

 :P

My parents are big gardeners, and used to keep quite the vegetable garden when we were younger.  Nowadays, they're more into landscaping.  Myself, it still takes a bit of prodding to get  me to help mow the lawn.  Gotta watch my hands, ya' know.

King's Island in Cincy, as a kid, that was probably as close as I came to feeling like I was walking around inside my TV set. Back then, it was Hanna Barbera everything and there was even a ride that literally was a gigantic, building-sized TV set and you rode into it on a boat and tons of Hanna Barbera stuff was projected on the walls. I met the Banana Splits, which was quite a celebrity coup for me at that young age.

King's Dominion I also went to once and the thing that stands out was a house that was sideways, supposedly built by Yogi Bear, and you had to practically walk sideways to get through it.

These are now part of the Paramount empire with the Great Americas in Chicago and Santa Clara, which used to use Warner Brothers cartoon characters.

I assume that this is from a more reliable source than my last post regarding John Raitt's death several days before it happened.

At long last, the Eisner company will be releasing an authorized DVD release (VHS too I assume) of SONG OF THE SOUTH in the fall of 2006 for the film's 60th anniversary.  There will be many extras and they are going to hire an African-American celebrity to introduce and host the film, explaining the film in the context of the time it was released.  It's about time.

RE: "One Day At A Time" Reunion show... Well, some of the review blurbs I've been coming across actually seem to like this one, so...

I liked the show.  And I still remember having a crush on Boyd Gaines.  -Glen Scarpelli never did anything for me. ;)  And there was a time when I did know the whole theme song by heart.

I worked with Bonnie Franklin a few years ago.  She was fun, and handled her whole "One Day At A Time" notoriety very well.

*A team of DC "shock jocks" used to have a sort of running gag with Bonnie Franklin - well, Bonnie Franklin's mouth.  They always wondered just how many tennis balls could be fit in there.   So, whenever they wanted to call someone a "big mouth", they would invoke Ms. Franklin's name.

I don't do roller coasters or those Tower of Terror things or anything else that makes you want to puke.

The last time I went to Disneyland, my Star Wars junkie friend Ariel and I went on Star Tours about seven times in a row. That was fun. We were at Disneyland with our high school orchestra at a competition. We practiced really hard and we were really good. We really wowed the judges with our practice session, but when we started to play the one they were going to judge, one of our cello players who will remain *nameless* started playing way too fast and got his whole section confused. That messed up the rest of us, and we ended up coming in dead last in the competition. We are still bitter.

Yes, DR RODZINSKI - King's Island used to be Hanna Barbera Land.  It was interesting.  Now it's a LOT of Star Trek characters, etc.

Oh my, DRSANDRA.  That of course reminds me of the review that Oscar Levant quoted about one of his early performances:

Last night Oscar Levant left his contemporaries and his conductor far behind.

New phone is nice.  Same brand (Panasonic) as I had.  Very easy to program, and putting names and numbers into it is a breeze.

I used to watch ONE DAY AT A TIME regularly as a kid. I really don't know why, however. I did always think Valerie Bertinelli was a pretty good actress.

GOOD TIMES is another one I just can't explain to myself!

Hey, Jrand54, on the EZ Boards (used for Scarlet Street and ClassicHorror film boards) how in tarnation do you put an avatar on your profile? I have looked and looked and looked for a way (I seem to be the only one without).
