Today I received in the mail:

INSIDE DARK SHADOWS dvd - finally ordered this DRDANISE.  Looking forward to it!

3 - count them - 3 ROCKY JONES dvd's.  I have three, now I have six.  I think I have them all.  And I only had one of them on VHS.

My neighbor down the street is getting a new puppy. A few minutes ago, he brought me the last of the litter -- a shy blonde female with flop-over ears.  I sadly declined her, as Sasha, Tumbly, and Joshie informed me "We are not amused."

Thanks JRand54! I will try to do edit my profile tonight!

And 3 Rocky Jones DVDs! Holy cow...I know what you will be doing for the rest of the day! Let me know if Pamela Duncan shows up in any of them...I think she was on that show a few times...or am I thinking of a different space show?

I'm going to try and write another page or two, then go out and pick up any packages which may have arrived.

The rain has stopped and it looks much brighter out.  No sun, but white instead of gray skies.

Hey, Vixmom, I keep looking for your reviews but have not seen them.  Not that I'm excoriating you or anything.

Uuummm, the dog ate my reviews, I mean, I think I left it in my locker...oh wait! Maybe I left in on the schoolbus... IS this going to effect my final grade?

A brief respite in work before I head home.

We had a great time on LI this weekend even if we did wake up on Monday to snow which made getting back to the city a little more difficult than anticipated. I didn't believe the weatherman so I thought on Sunday evening we would wake up Monday morning to nada. Oh, well.

We ended up watching the extras on Broadway: The American Musical over the weekend. I must say I think the extra material was better than the program. I enjoyed the program when it was broadcast but enjoyed more the stuff that was left out. Again, Oh, well.

Last night we watched (again) I Could Go On Singing, a favorite Judy movie of mine. We found it at BJs this weekend for $9 and I couldn't pass it up. The picture looks great but the sound was not good and we ended up turning on the subtitles! I feel so old. Judy singing Hello Bluebird and the title song still gives me goosebumps.

I'm seeing the revival of La Cage this evening. I'm seeing Spamalot next Tuesday and All Shook Up next Wednesday.

Well, I must finish up before I leave for the day.

Later.

Don't make me excoriate you, vixmom.  Get to work!

All right, the white has once again been replaced by the gray, and it's sprinkling.  I'm going out now before it gets any worse.  I'll be back shortly, however.

Oh! To be your shadow.  I envy you all your play watching... I look forward to lots of reviews!

I loved the original La Cage -- I saw it October 14, 1987 (just knew that off the top of my head!!) and have been wondering how the revivial would stand up

Tomorrow I come from the Island of Long to "THE CITY".  I am driving in with the Vixter and her friend Jen , and their American Girl dolls to visit "The American Girl Place" over on 49th & 5th... hopefully I will be able to get over to the Virgina Theatre and pick up a couple of tickets for "Little Women" for the March break... based on your review we are going to try  it....

and then hopefully  I can also make it over to the Hikton Theatre and try to  pickup tickets for Chitty Chitty Bang Bang....

DR Ben, if you wait outside the Spamalot stage door lookout for Tim Curry, he stepped on poor WFO's foot after a performance of "Amadeus".

I think GOOD TIMES was hilarious, and the audience's participation in the play going on before them was often part of my enjoyment. They really, really GOT that show!

I couldn't stand ONE DAY AT A TIME. It just never made me laugh. Had nothing against any of the participants.

Great news about SONG OF THE SOUTH (though that year's wait is pretty unfuriating. I will enjoy the one many of us bought until the "official" release comes around.

Do you remember this for a good reason, or bad?  I mean, I used to remember the date that Patty Hearst was kidnapped (it was either Feb 4 or 5), but to pinpoint a night that you saw a show!  That's impressive!

Dare I ask, but what seats?

Oh, my gosh! Tower of Terror! Thank you for mentioning it. We rode it four times when we were at Disney-MGM three years ago. What a marvel!

I assume that this is from a more reliable source than my last post regarding John Raitt's death several days before it happened.

At long last, the Eisner company will be releasing an authorized DVD release (VHS too I assume) of SONG OF THE SOUTH in the fall of 2006 for the film's 60th anniversary.  There will be many extras and they are going to hire an African-American celebrity to introduce and host the film, explaining the film in the context of the time it was released.  It's about time.

Absolutely, it's about time!  WEL, where did you get this information??

It was the Wednesday matinee before DH & my wedding.  His sister and her husband were in from Grande Praire, Canada. It was their first trip to NY and they wanted to see a real Broadway musical.  As to seats, I couldn't tell you the exact row and number, but DH had gone to the theatre and managed to score front seat center mezzine seats....
