You might say last night’s tech run-through was a grand train wreck. I mean, if you were the kind of person who uses such language. Happily, not for yrs truly, but it was a bear to get through. The orchestra isn’t required to be there tonight but I know that if I’m there to cover the piano part it will help the MD and the cast immensely, and I’ll probably go. It will be of help to my own lovely self, too, in solidifying some tricky cues.

A heartfelt tribute to Larry Cohen in the notes. Thanks for sharing, BK.

TOD:

I remember buying some Agatha Christies, such as Curtain, in paperback. But the biggie was when neighbors up the street gave me 15 or so vintage Earl Stanley Gardner novels. I still have them. And, yes, idiot Marie Kondo, they give me joy.

DR Vixmom thanks for the avacado recall information.  I keep a bowl in the frig for washed, ready to use avacados.  Keith put unwashed ones in there the other day which is now a good thing since the stickers are still on them.  I will be able to confirm they are safe.

I meant to send the recording vibes last night.  Instead I fell asleep.  I woke up a number of times but thankfully was able to go back to sleep.

Monday morning greetings!  It's gray and rainy here, but supposed to clear up later.  I'm at home all day before an AAUW board meeting this evening at the public library.  I'm subbing for the recording secretary, so I need to make sure I have that act together before heading downtown.

I'm up, I'm up.  I got a call at nine from my gal - the problem is on the printer's end and is affecting all new books that are submitted.  Why it would take this long to fix it is anyone's guess, but the publisher is on them every day because about 100 books they're trying to make live are affected by this stupidity.  Hoping for end of day and they'll keep me posted, but at least I know that the highest echelons are dealing with this.
