Finally, this movie is much maligned, but I think a lot of AT LONG LAST LOVE is actually pretty good, especially anything that involves Madeleine Kahn.

I am ashamed to admit it, but I haven't seen many of the already mentioned movies at all.  So, the one that I have seen (most recently, anyway) is "At Long Last Love."  Put that on my list.  I love Madeline Kahn, also and I thought that Eileen Brennen was a hoot!  I liked Cybill Shepherd but not Burt Reynolds (in just about anything, actually).  And Duilio Del Prete was just pretty darned cute! ;D

I just read that the house in "Strangers When We Meet" was supposed to be for Kim Novak and Richard Quine when they were going together.  Richard Quine lived in the house alone, but Kim never did.

It's still a great house.

Maybe that's what I read.....Kim and Richard were a pair for awhile.  My favorite Kim movie is still BELL, BOOK, AND CANDLE.....

DR Kerry - Thanks for your concern/thoughts/words.

We'll see what happens.  I spent a good chunk of this afternoon going through three boxes of "stuff".  One box was almost exclusively filled with xeroxes of scores I already have in "hard form".  -And for some unknown reason, I had THREE, single-sided copies of the piano/vocal score for R&H's CINDERELLA. ?!?!?!?!?

But I did come across some sentimental stuff, and stuff I was very glad to see again after so many years.

In any case... The recycling bin will be quite full next week.

As for the Brady's having a bathroom...

I seem to remember a clip or two of Mike and/or Carol in a bathroom, or at least looking in a mirror that was not part of the bedroom proper.  I can even picture the wallpaper - light blue with some design on it - almost like the wallcovering in the bedroom.  Very coordinated.

DR vixmom - I was about to ask if you head anything about the whole Marisol brou-ha-ha.  NPR had a story about it the other day.  Apparently, the Chicago store has been the sight of protests.

Hope your trip home was safe and accident-delay free.

Dang it, Bruce, now you've got me wanting a Snickers bar, persnickety or otherwise.

Has anyone had the new Hershey's Take 5 bar?  "Pretzels, Caramel, Peanuts, Peanut Butter And Creamy Milk Chocolate All In One Candy Bar."  The pretzels are not a good addition, if you ask me. :P

DR KERRY - Miss Allison appeared as one of a bevy of bathing beauties.  I can't remember if she had any scenes in any other costume.  Here she is on the left.

This particular suit has the distinction of being the one garment that made her look unshapely.  :P

In the background is a male starlet, probably a client of Henry Willson's who is feigning interest in the gals.  ::)

Looks like work is coming right long, DR LAURA.  Will you have an office in the new building?

Yes, I will. Here is how it looks today, with the interior walls being installed.

I'm back, and to prove it, I'm here.  I think what Teddy did today takes me out of the realm of mere highlights.  We took a photo on my phone, and I e-mailed it to myself.  The phone indicated that it had indeed been sent.  And yet, it wasn't waiting for me when I returned.  I'll send it again, later, and then post it posthaste.

Oh, DR Vixmom...I am sure that many of the men on this here board don't mind.  After all, we have put you through enough nattering on about Brent Barrett, The WSMA (world's sexiest man alive, in HHW speak), and other such beefcake-y topics such as Bollywood hunk John Abraham, etc.  Surely, none of us are offended by the knowledge that a girl might be enchanted by a doll.  Or even want to collect them.  After bakelite and deco cocktail shakers, what else is there left to collect BUT dolls?

I wonder if we'll ever see George Clooney in a similar get-up?

I would rather see him without that get-up!

We never see in the bathroom itself, but we do see them going in and out of it occasionally.  From the standard "bedroom shot," with the camera at the foot of the bed, the bathroom door was in the upper right hand corner.

Yes, folks, this is the crap my mind is filled with. :D

And you all wonder why my son can't get a job????

Well you never really know how many inches you are going to get - or how long it is going to last.

Snow - snow - snow that is.

Kerry,  I think FOLLOW THAT DREAM may be the best of the Elvis musicals.  A character that fit him and a fairly tight plot with good supporting performers.  And the songs weren't bad either.

I shall indeed tell Vinnie hello.  And he's been through my highlighs phases before.  I shall have photos to post when I get back.  Keep the home fries burning until my returning for which I know you'll be yearning.
