Oh, and I thought the role of Carl-Magnus was totally miscast.

I am sure you will enjoy it George. It isn’t awful.  I just really wanted it to be better.

I'll let you know.

Well, I'm fading fast.  I can't keep my eyes open, so I'll give in and go to sleep.

But before I do...a Very Happy Birthday to (former) DR Ann!

I screwed up the alarm and the cats actually let me sleep in till 7:30.  All is well, and I am pondering my day.

I'm on the last lap of the choral piece.  When I finish it, I need to hit the market for more deli turkey.

Yesterday I put new allergen screens in the windows and put away the comforter on the bed.  Of course, it follows that last night was chilly and I nearly froze.  Annabelle and Thatch kept me warm.

Do they still do quote ads in the newspaper?

Yesterday, my wife and I watched 2 movies:

IT'S A MAD (4) WORLD
ROSE MARIE (1954)

I'm researching a new play, but as usual, I'm not going to reveal the subject until it's finished.

That could go well as a clipping with the Jones Beach ad for DAMN YANKEES with Joe Namath as Joe Hardy and the glorious Susan Elizabeth Scott (who lived right here on this floor) as Lola.

One of the ads was

"Joe Namath sings better than Lauren Bacall!"  - Stewart Klein, Channel 5 News

And technically, in terms of hitting the notes correctly and carrying a tune, that was probably just a simple fact.

Just as for many of us, there was an excitement to seeing Lauren Bacall on the stage, Joe Namath certainly turned that "Damn Yankees" into a draw, even for non-sports fans.

The real showstopper was the young man who played Henrik.  His name is Will Johnson, and he is a real talent.  I saw him last year as the dentist in LITTLE SHOP, and he literally stole that show.

Larry and Chas and BK would likely have more insight into this.   But it's seemed to me the relationship between the actor playing Henrik and the audience seemed to be pretty much set  with how his first scene and number goes over.

I've seen the show so many times, and that seems to mean aa lot to whether we stay interested in the character, even when I've seen the same actor several times in the same production.
