Voldemort is basically a middle school girl: he has a locket, a diary, a tiara, a ring, and is completely obsessed with a teenage boy.

It also helped Judy that she was a new face and had garnered rave reviews and big box-office for her first starring role (after a sensational supporting part in ADAM'S RIB the year before).

Remember that neither Bette nor Gloria were particularly beloved, and popularity  meant a lot then (as it does today).

No whimper here.  It's an EVENT and those that are here will be the ones who can say they were here when it happened.

While I was typing guess what happened?

We achieved our new PLATEAU!  Quick, put on your pointy party hats and your colored tights and pantaloons, break out the cheese slices and the ham chunks, dance the Hora and the shimmy, because we have crossed 100,000 postings.  Congratulations to one and all and also all and one.  I am very proud of all of us, even the errant and truant who missed the milestone.

This may just call for some CAKE.

And most importantly, let us take a moment, pause, and say: SARSAPARILLA!

Yes, by gum and by golly and buy bonds, I'm going to go out and get me some CAKE.  I'll try to be good and not get a WHOLE cake, but I'm having SOME kind of cake.

I bought pans to make cupcakes this weekend, but I had two slices of red velvet cake at the buffet yesterday and satisfied my cake hunger. Maybe next week or next weekend.

Oh, can one of you New Yorkers tell me the name of the area where Cabrini Blvd. is - it's up around 140th St. or something - it's become trendy and it has a name.

Cupcakes sound good.  Perhaps I'll go to Gelson's and get me some Louis Vuitton Cupcakes.

Spaghetti and cake go hand in hand.  In fact, they are going steady, but don't tell anyone.

Well, all I can say is

SARSAPARILLA!

I was here, even though I wasn't here at the exact moment. I didn't think I would be here until tomorrow. But I was here today. Hoo and Ray!

I will be leaving for my small Oscar party (we won't be watching the insufferable Star Jones Reynolds either) soon so I'll see you all tomorrow.

We will, BTW (by the way in Internet Lingo), have cake at said gathering. I know because I'm bringing dessert and I plan on picking up a scrumptious, delectable and over-the-top delicacy on my way uptown. I will also bring some fruit for those at the gathering who wish not to partake of cake (although who would not want cake on this day)
