I'd rather have Clive, but Julian would be a cheaper price tag.

I'm not a Chris Rock fan, so tonight is going to be interesting.

Clive Owen - the hunk of the world.

You got that right! ;D

I remember in the early sixties, when watching the Oscars was an event.  It all seemed so dignified.  It was not about TV, it was not about salivating banal TV commentators.  I'll say it again - a sad joke.

I don't care for Chris Rock, so I'll possibly do picture-in-picture while watching the special features on BRINGING UP BABY.

I'd say Clive will be either in second or third place. I can't believe Morgan Freeman is going to be denied again. It's a career award for him.

Welcome home, DR Cillaliz?  How was your trip/conference?

Thanks! DR Jose
It was great. Heard some fabulous blues in New Orleans. Had fabulous food and had a great time with my friends.  Oh, yeah and the conference was good too.  I decided to sell a lake house I have, so since I got back I've been busy working and packing up the house. This is the first weekend I've been home and it feels great to do nothing!

So I've been E &T for awhile, but made it back for the 100,000 post day~!

Ah, the Oscars in the 1960s!  What memories!  John Wayne on stage with Babs on his arm!  Julie talking about American hospitality.  Ann-Margret singing "Bachelor in Paradise."  Those were the days, my friends.

Chris Rock is a hoot, and I've liked him ever since he was Letterman's reporter for the Republican convention.  But, then, Dave crashed and burned as an Oscar host.  I hope Chris has a big success tonight.
