When watching WINGS, NED AND STACY or 21 JUMP STREET - not to mention  MAD-TV - who'd have thunk we'd see ANY of their casts on the Oscar ballot, let alone the Oscar stage?

No surprise for me there. I'm happy Morgan has finally won.

Going to commercial, they're playing the theme from "Star Trek:  The Next Generation."

Good for Morgan.

Does Jamie really deserve to win for RAY?

Johnny Depp was so good in FINDING NEVERLAND.

Well, Joan Crawford and Sylvester Stallone made stag films. What's different? People take any route they can to make films.

Who is the terrible interviewer on ABC.  Here's an exchange between him and Warren Beatty.

Int (To Annette Bening):  You're here with your handsome husband.

Beatty:  Thank you.  You're very kind.

Int:  That's my job!

Talk about a backhanded compliment.  Later he said to Orlando Bloom:  "Before you started doing movies, you were a serious actor."

RAY, may not be a great film, but the performances of Regina King, Curtis Armstrong and Jamie Foxx are all award-worthy.

Yay for Morgan Freeman.

Chris Rock - not so funny.

Gil Cates - more than just a HACK - he's a MORON for this brilliant idea of his having nominees on the stage.  The set is like I rock concert set.  Hated the opening telling us all about what movies are.  Gee, thanks.

I think Jamie Foxx is pretty untouchable tonight.

Well, they dropped Marc Shaiman's song for Robin Williams, but obviously Robin kept the best jokes. . .
