I like the Carson Tribute.  However, Whoopi's - "Awards Show Host" - contribution was not needed.

I hope this doesn't portend that The Aviator will win other major awards.

I really don't think it will win any more major awards. I may win a couple more technical awards. I don't think  it's even going to win screenplay. I think ETERNAL SUNSHINE will win that.

Many dvd companies should be using Thelma's talents on their special features. . . .

I just think the AVAIATOR screenplay left out a LOT of interesting things about Howard Hughes.

I was thinking the guy credited onscreen used a LOT of work that had been done previously by writers who were then denied a credit.

I don't like this song either?  Who would have thought I would long for Marilyn and Alan?

I will say the song works in context, but not onstage.

The only thing the Carson tribute did was point out how UNFUNNY Chris Rock is. I certainly didn't need the maudlin music underneath it - again, thanks Mr. Cates.

And who wrote these disgusting "the suave and sophisticated" "the lovable" introductions?  They get paid, you know.

This Shrek song is hideous.  And Mike Meyers needs to see Teddy.

Well, we have had no deliriously bad moments yet, but the evening is young.

Has anyone noticed that when the nominees are on stage the ones on the audience's left end win?  We'll see if that continues.

It has been a long time since I have seen the show.  You you have a DVD or is it on the great station you get and I don't?

DR Jane, I bought a VHS tape of 4 episodes...one has one of my interviewees Lynn Bernay on it. I picked it up to send to her.
