Thanks for the Washington Heights info everyone.

Could that introduction to The Motorcycle Diaries song be ANY longer?  And the song.  I'd say they should eliminate this category altogether if they can't come up with anything better than these SORRY songs.  And they cheer.

Do they have to dub Selma Hayak in English when she makes an American film?

I'm not hearing anything special in this song.

If you don't know Spanish, you probably can't understand the "powerful lyrics."

Or, maybe there's subtext that's not coming through when taken out of context. ;)

That state of movie songs  is sad and getting worse.

Ya, none of these songs have done much for me  either...I am looking forward to Josh Groban doing his song...at least I hope I am looking forward to it!

I'd say we have broken all records, achieved all-new plateaus and I'd say it's been a rather amazingly amazing day here at haineshisway.com.

To give you a little perspective - number of posts since two o'clock this afternoon at the theater site that calls itself the most popular and used to brag that they had eight hundred posts a day (in their dream and I mean their WILDEST dreams)?  About eighteen.

At IMDB I counted the one in the box and all on the list - didn't realize it was included in the list....five is correct as TD says.

I'm still waiting to hear what THE AVAITOR's sixth Oscar was.

Best Performance by an Actress in a Supporting Role]
Winner: Cate Blanchett for The Aviator

Best Achievement in Cinematography
Winner: The Aviator (2004) - Robert Richardson

Best Achievement in Editing
Winner: The Aviator (2004) - Thelma Schoonmaker

Best Achievement in Art Direction
Winner: The Aviator (2004) - Dante Ferretti, Francesca LoSchiavo

Best Achievement in Costume Design
Winner: The Aviator (2004) - Sandy Powell

That's is...according to IMBd.com.  Unless there were some technical awards for The Aviator given earlier.

I reiterate - the imdb was listing the most recent winner in two slots; the top of the page and the actual listing of winners. . .that's where I erred.

Nice that FINDING NEVERLAND won something. I hate it when a movie with many multiuple nominations goes home empty handed.
