The most shocking thing about the death parade was listening to the audience's smattering of applause because they're so incredibly ignorant they had no clew who half the people were.  And shame on them for leaving John Vernon out of it.  I didn't know that Paul Winfield or Jerry Bick had died.  Jerry was very helpful in getting Nudie Musical sold to Paramount and has a credit at the beginning of the film.  And Phil Gersh, whose agency I was with for many years, was a terrifically nice guy.

Evidently Sandra Dee was not worthy of in memoriam.

Didn't she die THIS year?

As I was going into the kitchen to get a glass of water on the rocks, They were showing the all those who died in the past year. I think they they should turn down the sound in the audience especially when they show people no one has heard of.

Did they leave anyone out?

Don't they only do people who died the previous year, i.e., 2004 in this case?  Raitt and Dee will be next year.

Yes, I think that might be it, JMK.  That means John Vernon would be next year, as well.

The last few years they have left out a LOT of people in memoriam...I was astonished that they even "bothered" with Virginia Mayo and Howard Keel...it seems like unless they still have popular appeal by the younger crowd then they just can't be bothered to remember them...end of rant.

I've always thought that they should not broadcast the sound from the audience.  It's very distracting because some get more than others.

Finding Neverland will be out on DVD shortly.

What is this Beyonce thing?  Did her people PAY someone for this?  There are no other singers?  Is Josh Groban frequently off-key or is he having a bad night.

They both died in the past few weeks.  Jerry Orbach died late December, 2004.

Josh Groban's vocal stylings totally elude me; I had never heard Beyonce before, to my knowledge, and I'm much more impressed with her.

Another awful treacly banal pop anthem end credits song.  And such an original sentiment.
