By 4:00 pm yesterday afternoon, I felt so poor and my eyes so ached that I took two Tylenol, one Tylenol PM and went to bed.  It was a godawful night.  I got up at 6:30, fed the cats, and went back to bed.  Around 10. I got up, took a  very long, very hot bath, and went back to bed.  As soon as I clean the litter, I'm going back to bed.

BK,

I just caught this in your blog this morning.  I guess you really were tired.

"Last night, I watched the first half of a French motion picture from France...."

True, it could have been a French motion picture for Spain or Italy, but....

At least, it proves that I read your blog.

 ;)

Maybe you don't because perhaps some dear reader would like to inform ol' Druxy that I've been doing that line for about, I don't know, fourteen YEARS? :)

I'm up, I'm up - barely - about seven hours of sleep.

I do believe we have crossed fitty and are perhaps closer to sixty, in terms of the orders the former helper never bothered to ship.  I have not sent him the e-mail I drafted a couple of weeks ago, when we'd crossed twenty.  I think it's time, don't you?  And frankly, I see no end in sight for this BS.

Today I did something I rarely do, I stopped reading a book.  I was reading "At the Wolf's Table" a fictional novel of the women who were food tasters for Hitler.

Instead I have been reading interviews with Margot Wölk the women the main character in the book is based on.

Last night was watching the very funny Canadian show CORNER GAS we were taken back by their pronunciation of the word decal.  If we had not been looking at a decal we would not have known what a deck-al was  ;D

Today we learned Canadians are mispronouncing the word as decal is short for Decalcomania, pronounced "Dee-cal-comania", suggesting the proper short form pronunciation is "Dee-cal", not "Deckle".   ;) ;D

When I last posted, I was on my way to be a guest at a book club and I had a delightful time.  However, I got home to the news that one of AAUW friends had died earlier that afternoon.  She'd been bravely battling cancer and had attended our April meeting just 2 weeks before.  Didn't feel very chatty that evening.

Then on Wednesday I had to get myself in high gear to ready our house to host my regular book group on Thursday evening.  This was a pinch-hit on my part because the originally-scheduled hostess is dealing with a hospitalized husband.  It sounds like he's pretty sick.

We had a perfect-sized group - 8 - here to discuss Michelle Obama's book, which I liked quite a lot.

The past 2 days have been pretty low key and very quiet around here.  We're still adjusting to having the house to ourselves.  It's odd not to have the kids around.

:(  I am sorry for the loss of your friend.  It was nice though that she did make it to the meeting for one last time.

Vibes to her husband.

I wonder when the slimeball in the White House will start doing that.

I kind of enjoy this TV ad for TAKL with Kathie Lee Gifford.

The voice she's dueting with seems to be someone who doesn't appear in the ad.  But it's an interesting effect.

Former DR Ann posted a picture on FB the other day of her using a portable stepper machine

I just watched a video to see how it works.  It looks rather good.
