Back from the Monica of Santa, being helpful (Nick's widow and ever-lovin' Julie has asked me to represent his collection o' stuff, which I'll either parse out to dealers or perhaps to an auction house), and then lunch. He has a most amazing Sam Peckinpah archive - signed stuff, scripts, letters, telegrams, production files on all the major films - that's the biggie and I've already written one dealer who would kill to have it but who I don't love dealing with as he tries too hard to talk down the price he's willing to pay, which I'm not interested in at all - simply not going to allow him to get it all cheap to only watch him make ten times what he paid, which is exactly what would happen. I'll know right away if I want to even discuss with him by his response to the e-mail. I also e-mailed the Profiles in History auction house, since Nick and I were both fond of those folks.
