TOD:

Rum tarts. Mom used to make a cookie rolled out paper thin and then cut out. After baking, you’d fill the cookies with raspberry jelly then top with rum glaze.

I don’t have the patience or time to make them so I may never have them again.

It was nice to see my surgeon today. Next Thursday is the two year anniversary of my surgery.

I needed to see him mostly to have his OKAY for my supplies so that my insurance would continue to pay for them.

I also spoke to him about a re connection surgery. He said the it was possible and he would do it if I wanted him to. But because of the loss of so much of my.....you know.....what is left would have to be stretched and I might have difficulties with incontinence, etc....

I told him that I appreciate it, but I wouldn't be trying the surgery. I think he was glad. He wouldn't tell me NOT to do it, but I think he was being polite it telling me the difficulties.....

I like slightly done, slightly crispy regular peanut butter cookies.

I did not realize there is a reconstruction surgery. Considering the side effects, I would not risk it.

I have been told after a year the surgeon will remove my plate & 8 screws in my elbow but he would prefer not to. I have also been told that because of the location, and that I am thin, most people opt to have the removal surgery. I would really like to remove the hardware. We shall see.

My ANZAC cookies are pretty good, better than some we have had and not as good as the first ones we ate in New Zealand.

Make the cookie dough ahead, roll it into balls, and then freeze. Baking won't take long at all and you can bake as few as you want.
