Everyone should be familiar with Wizard of Oz.

Some interesting people at auditions.  I read for three different parts, only one of them I probably would not be considered for.

A young woman in her twenties - when the director asked if there is anything anyone wanted to read for that they hadn't done yet....piped up and said she wanted to read for the cemetery plot salesperson.

She said she thought it would be interesting if the part was played by somebody who wasn't so OLD and out of  it....but was young and vital.....

I said: "Thanks."  And it didn't make her bat an eyelash...her reading was much the same as her reading for the Call Girl in the dream sequence.....

And next week is the Mother's Day pancake breakfast

Two weeks off in a row.  Did you skip the bagel brunch & will you skip the pancakes next week?

I made a cameo appearance, checked everyone knew where to find all the necessary supplies, refilled the sugar dispensers and had a cup of coffee and 1/4 of a cheese danish

We are watching Wizard of Oz, because we can't believe that Wae-Ling has never seen it.

What does she think of it?

I put off several of them however because of the constant drizzle...I need to get in a couple of cases of cups gif church as well as other assorted items and I didn't want to have to drag them through the BJ parking lot in the rain

Did you raise your hand and say you'd like to read for the Call Girl part because you thought it would be interesting to have  it played by someone who is worldly and has expertise and experience rather than someone young, fumbling and ignorant?

I was in Disaster once - but we called it something else.

I got to know DR Elmore in a Disaster called Auntie Mame.

I can't speak for Washington, but it's customary in both California and Virginia for sellers to pay closing costs. Did the seller's agent not inform him? That should have been discussed when pricing the condo.

Doing a bit of googling it doesn't seem to be standard here.  I can't remember who paid ours.  I think it was the seller, or they at least paid a portion of it.

Yup. No knives were stolen during either Raffles movie.
