The idiot who passed the bill into law came right out and said she knows it can't be enforced. She KNOWS that, and she and the other idiots in those sorry states that have passed similar things are hoping when this gets challenged and into the courts (and while it's in the courts, the "law" is meaningless and no one need abide by it), they're hoping that the conservative Supreme Court will overturn Roe vs. Wade. I don't think that's the walk in the park they think it is, frankly.

Watched the first forty minutes of Yanks, a movie I'm very fond of. I'll finish it tomorrow night. For now, listening to music. And waiting and hoping the mail thing will complete and then be fine.

Listening to the Composers in Person series on EMI. These are fascinating historical performances by composers either playing or conducting their own music. I had two of these, which I bought when they came out, but I found a box set that has all twenty-two of them that I got REALLY cheap. The sound, of course, is mostly archival, since many of these recordings are from the late 1920s and early 1930s. But fascinating to hear Bartok playing his piano pieces.

I agree the goal is to challenge Roe vs Wade and overturn it.

I'm glad you're doing better. Keep improving. My face swelling has gone down but now it's letting my jaw hurt. I've only had 1 pain pill but I'm seriously thinking taking another. The pain goes up into my ear.
