Well, you've read the notes, the notes had senior moments, and now it is time for you to post until the senior cows come home.

It's reading out that it completed, but the activity window hasn't cleared - which is what happened before.  Hopefully it will clear at some point soon.  I can't go through it again, seriously.

It just cleared!  So, now the hope is that in the next couple of hours the phone will synch.

Yes, but I don't turn it (or my TV) up too loud.

To answer Tom's question from last night:  my washing machine or dryer may not be louder than a TV, but it vibrates a lot more, and that can resonate through the building and be more noticeable and annoying.

Good night, Tom and BK.  I need to go to work much earlier than I usually do, so I need to go to bed now.

Have a good day, all!

Somehow, that reminds me of Dolly's line about Horace's cast register: "It's a little lumpy, but. it rings."

Around 1:30 I had a panic attack over this landlord situation.  I fell back to sleep around 4:00 and my dream was a combo of Night of the Iguana, some demented nuns, a young man in the Miami University Theatre Dept. 50 years ago, a fire, and a big lake.

I was awaklened byt Thatch around 5:30 wanting breakfast, followed by Annabelle wanting to crawl under the blankets for warmth, then Stella started shouting for food.  I got up at 6:15, fed them, set the alarm for 7:30 and went back to bed.  I couldn't go back to sleep because of my eviction anxiety, so I'm dressed and waiting for 8:30 to begin making phone calls.

I got through to the NY Housing Authority,  and I must make the trek to 111 Centre Street ASAP, which means I will miss this morning's memorial service for Jo Loesser at 10:30.  This really pisses me off.

DR Elmore, your news of last night is infuriating. WTF is up with the timing of that, anyway?

I know enough people in NYC that I've long had the impression that it's actually supposed to be quite difficult to evict a tenant in many circumstances, and that there are advocacy boards or whatnot who deal with this crap every single day. Are you happy with the contacts you have now, or would it be acceptable for me to ask a couple of people about additional resources? ('No' is an acceptable answer, I won't be offended, never worry about that.)

Schlesinger? Oh my, it's been so long since I've watched any of his movies. But these are certainly at the top of the list:

MIDNIGHT COWBOY
MARATHON MAN
DAY OF THE LOCUST
THE BELIEVERS

I, too, have never watched FAR FROM THE MADDING CROWD and SUNDAY BLOODY SUNDAY -- and I own the Blu-rays of both. That's pretty bad, right?

I never saw DARLING, either. Wow.

This needs to be a day of musical work, and I must get to it forthwith. And henceforth. And heretofore, in case that helps.

Best and strongest vibes to all.
