George's (and my) friend, Chris who is Artistic Director just found this photo in the archives.  It is from Noel Coward's HAY FEVER, which opens again at TLT on Friday, minus me.

That's pretty cool, Tom!

Because I was too fat  ::) my mother forced me to switch from whole milk to non fat.  I hated it.  My father would help drink my glass of milk down when my mother wasn't looking ;)

Eventually, by slowing reducing a milk of whole and non fat to all non fat I got used to it.  Now I can't tolerate drinking anything but non fat, unless it is hot chocolate.

I am grateful to my mother as I loved drinking milk and the amounts I drank would have been rather pound producing.

Jane, it is very difficult to imagine you fat.

Of course, the definition of "fat" is quite relative. ;)

My sister wants me to come over and go shopping with her to get some stuff for her daughter's new chicken coop.

The chickens, however, will NEVER be eaten.

They will live a normal life, then hopefully die of old age.

Be back later.  But before I go...

Back to cruises:
You can often ask for a roommate or to be seated with other women. Many women travel with sisters or female friends. There is often a table just for women.

On one cruise, aforementioned friend and I took a woman who was traveling alone under our wing. We'd meet up for the various shows in the evening and also say hello and make sure she was welcome to join us. She and I stayed friends until her passing.

She, in turn, met a boyfriend on that cruise. They were both in their seventies. We later learned that he had a wife who was ill and thus stayed in the cabin for several days!! That cruise gave us a lot to talk about for a long time!

LOL

For someone who has never been fat I sure was told that I was often enough.  Kind of funny, my same stomach that people felt it ok to comment on as being too fat suddenly received loads of compliments for being small after having children ;D

I went to the hairdresser today. Another senior who I've met there before was there today and we were swapping stories of how to cope with the many "joys" of aging. My hairdresser admitted that he schedules people according to who gets along!

:) :)

Then on to my favorite food store. No almond croissants. But they had the Daiya ice cream that I so love. I'm going to suggest that the salad bar near me stocks it. They have a freezer case.

I did not find a great almond croissant in Paris.

I met with my tax accountant yesterday. I think I may have finally resolved this very troublesome tax issue, but it took a LONG time and a great deal of time on my part. Gawd!

Thank goodness it is finally resolved.

Of course not.  I wish I could purchase eggs from her.

We just watched THE LONGEST DAY.

Hadn't see in for about 10 years.

Still a terrific movie.

You are obviously not talking about the Adam Sandler remake.

So, in addition to the news about Justin, Justin's boss' boss announced that it was her last day with the company.

I was ushering for Derek Hough tonight and Sonia, Justin's boss, came in with her husband. Said she needed something else in her life and she had bought the tickets two months ago. I just gave her a hug.

It seems sudden to announce a departure on the same day.

Derek Hough was excellent. He danced for about two hours, sang quite a few songs and was a great showman. He had seven backup dancers who were also really good. In addition to excellent choreography, he had excellent staging in terms of lighting and a simple but effective two-tiered set to dance on.

Earlier, he hosted 150 people at a meet-and-greet, the prices of which started at $350 and went up to close to $1,000. My 1% friend bought the four $1,000 tickets that were sold. It included first in line for photos, then each got to have a private dance with Hough in his dressing room. I think they were happy.

The meet-and-greet itself was different because Hough answered questions for an hour and even played a little piano for the group. He was very entertaining.

Then he did another meet-and-greet after the show in which he autographed posters and posed for photos. This one only cost $50 but you could buy tickets immediately after. So, all those besotted ladies (and more than a few men) in the audience who loved all of his topless numbers could get up close to his sweaty self.
