For the third time in the past two months, the US Postal Service has claimed to deliver an Amazon package that I did not receive. We have a dyslexic or reading-challenged postal worker who keeps leaving mail for 81st Street here. I wonder if my package is at 202 West 81st?

Well, the package was down in the lobby, only the postman who's been writing apartment numbers on the cartons in huge numbers with a black magic marker marked my package 2C, not 3C. I'm glad I found it. It's the only kitty treat Thatch likes, and he and Stella fight over them.

As BK well knows, this newspaper project is a wild ride. And breaks must be taken.

I know I won’t complete everything this weekend, but I’m hitting a few crucial years, confirming a lot of memory accuracy, and, in a few cases, being blown away by memories that are now filed under “corrupted”. It’s a revelation...and a bit of an emotional ride paging through the very papers I was paging through between 55 and 60 years ago.

What a great, invaluable, indispensable site. No two ways about it.

One co-worker told me about how he was driving in his neighborhood. He stopped at a stop sign, but the winds were so heavy that they pushed the car forward even with his foot on the break.

For an encore, the conductor brought back the singers and led them in the Polovtsian Dances from Borodin's Prince Igor. That was a great deal of fun.
