Jane, I had the shot a couple months ago. You will probably feel achy and tired tomorrow. And your arm will hurt. It only lasted one day.

So I am trying to plan the second shot for when I have nothing to do the following day.

And then I watched the beautiful DVD former dear reader Amy made with all of you dear, dear people out there in the dark - my 60th birthday DVD.  It was really emotional, I have to say, due to all the loss that's represented in that video - not only the loss of the departed shown in stills and present in voice - Kerry, Nick Redman, Susan Gordon - but the loss of so many dear readers in this past eleven years, and that includes dear Edisaurus, Jeffrey Kauffman, Cillaliz, Singdaw, MattH, dear reader Sandra, Lyn, Jose, Noel, Rodzinski, Ann and Jed, der Brucer, Cason and him mom, Karen, Pogue, and on and on and on. Some decided Facebook was somehow a better home than here, some ran away for reasons that still elude me, some for political reasons (unnecessary), and some for reasons unknown.  Thankfully, we've gotten wonderful new dear readers, and thankfully we've still got many of our original group, but I miss some of those folks.  Since my 70th came and went without much ado, perhaps sometime before my 80th, should I be so lucky as to make that number, we can have a little haineshisway.com reunion and get these people back where they belong.  Facebook, in case you haven't noticed, is a cesspool.  Facebook itself is disgusting in the way they manipulate everything, but it's all political, it's all fake, it's all memes, it's all BS all the time.  Here we have genuine camaraderie, oh, yes, here we have genuine camaraderie.

Few people have birthdays like your 60th.  It was fun being part of the surprise.  It would be nice if many of those former DRs returned.

Well, Jane just reached a millstone!  I'm sorry that I wasn't here to capture the moment when she was on-line, but here is the after-the-fact moment:

I had no idea.

And, through a bit of computer wizardry, here's what the moment would've looked like at the actual moment. ;)

Congrats to Jane on your millstone.

(George - I never would have known the 90000 version wasn't the real milestone.)

Thank you.

I plan to stay home in the morning doing laundry & other things.  For now I just want my headache to go away.

Jane, I had that shingles shot on Wednesday morning, and I have had no ill effects, except a little soreness at the site.
