Enjoyed the BAMBI documentaries. The Making of documentary on disc 2 was a port over from the laserdisc version, but it was still great to have it on DVD.

Tonight is the season finale of MONK along with the second episode of LAW & ORDER: TRIAL BY JURY.

I may get to see one of them live or both may have to be recorded if we have a movie night at my friend John's house tonight.

I just read GREAT news on the internet:

HOUSE, one of my favorite new shows of the TV season, has been officially renewed for a second season by Fox.

LAW & ORDER: TRIAL BY JURY easily won its time slot last night as well scoring above what new episodes of ER have averaged in that slot this season. Of course, it was facing a WITHOUT A TRACE rerun for its premiere episode.

Tonight it moves to its regular Friday at 10 p.m. slot, and CBS is throwing a CSI rerun on opposite it to blunt its chances of scoring well in the new time period.

Despite all the so-called "major network" ploys tonight, I shall be tuned in to the Sci-Fi Channel for the Friday block -- Stargate: SG1, Stargate: Atlantis, and Babylon 5.

BG (Birthday Girl) Panni - It was so nice to see you here earlier.  Congratulations on the new PowerBook!

DR Jane - Yes, I'm reading A Thread of Grace.  I'm still in the early pages, where all the character groups are being introduced and I assume their stories are going to converge pretty soon.

Here I thought I'd only written one or two pages - but, in fact, I've written six.  So, I can stop or, if I feel like it later in the afternoon, I can do another page or two.

I also had no packages or mail today.  Maybe it's a conspiracy.  Certainly it isn't BALLYHOO!

Hey, he convinced the audience he was straight - why not naive?

Our cable service runs the Sci-Fi stuff twice, as well as Monk twice - so we can do the network stuf first, SCC-FI second.

I kept laughing while reading your dog  walking adventures.

If you really want a laugh, you have to see it in person.

You know how when you were young (or at least when I was young) all the lads and lasses grabbed a hold of a color streamer tied to the top of a large pole and danced about weaving the intricate maypole design to celebrate Persephone's return (all to the tune of "In a British Country Garden")?  Well, think of Woody with five different colored leashes on different dogs all intent on weaving a pattern - if we didn't have different colors, poor Woody would still be in the road attempting disentanglement.

der Brucer

To tell the truth - I didn't know the name of the tune, I just la-dee-dahed a few measures and Woody named it.

;D You must be talking about May Day.

I have walked up to three dogs at once and that was enough.  When you walk more than one Husky at a time it can be very scary.  One alone can take you wherever they want to go.  I became very adept at sitting down quickly.

Possibly both.
I have been away visiting friends and relatives near the Victorian/South Australian border.

We did get the news of the Oscars though!

Here is the island of Ballyhoo!

Ballyhoo may call you,
Any night, any day,
In your heart, you'll hear it call you:
"Come away...Come away."

Ballyhoo will whisper
In the wind of the sea:
"Here am I, your special island!
Come to me, come to me!"

What is this line from:

"....and all the rest is talk."

It's part of a line, or a lyric.  It's been going round and round in my head all day and I cannot pinpoint what it's from.  I want to say it's from a song....but...

DR Ron Pulliam - I think it's from the song "What's the Use of Wondering" from Carousel.
