The Roar of the Crowd.  Bad title.

I'm praying that the call came in on Friday.  It may be time sensitive, that's why I'm concerned.  I won't be able to find out until Monday morning.

OLEAGINOUS is not an adjective to use in home coping with puppy "creations".

I don't think we've had OLEAGINOUS before.  At least I don't remember typing it multiple times.
Anyone who claims oleaginous has been used before is trying to pull a slick one.

Tonight(...going to be Last night in a minute), I went a theatre and saw the Swan Lake choreographed by Matthew Bourne. It was fantastic and especially, you know, boys’ swans were very gorgeous, powerful and elegant.  I’ve ever seen Adam Cooper (a main Swan) version, on a special TV program last year, and this time I saw Jose Tirado version. In my opinion, Adam was a dinamic and wild Swan, and opposite to him, Jose’s tonight performance was very sensitive and delicate. And Matthew’s choreography was full of energy and life and so original.  Has anyone ever seen The Swan Lake
By Matthew Bourne when they performed in Los Angeles and in NYC? Probably It was in 1998, as he (Matthew Boune) won the Tony Award in 1999.

I have seen it only Video tape, DR HISAKA.  I enjoyed it very much.  I also liked his ballet The Car Man.

NO MR BK the word has not been used before.  I was quoting a line from ALL ABOUT EVE when Bill talks about Margo being "paranoic."  Sorry I did not make it clear.

Der Brucer and I loved Bourne's Swan Lake when it was performed in Los Angeles.  We thought it was a powerful production.

New York audiences didn't quite "get" the show.  Too many people in NYC didn't make the connection that the men dancing as swans were supposed to be swans, instead seeing them just as men.  As a result, the show was ridiculed as being "gay".  Bourne, saddened by this reaction, decided to have his next two shows, Cinderella and Car Man, play in Los Angeles in the United States, but nowhere else in this country.  What is ironic here is that Car Man did have gay themes, and was the weakest of the three shows, IMHO.

Der Brucer and I, obviously, did not have Mexican food yesterday.  He did, however, have something that was Incan: his soup was a marvelous potage made of leeks and quinoa.

Que esta quinoa, you ask?

Quinoa is a very small grain from South America.  It has a great nutrition value, high in protein and unsaturated fats while low in carbohydrates.  Flavor-wise, it's a bit bland, but it can be used in soups, salads, as a main dish or side dish, as part of a pudding, and even be made into pasta.

Der Brucer liked the soup; the only way he could think of to improve it would have been a splash of sherry floating on top.

The pups spent the night on my bed, by the way, quite contentedly.  They're so sweet and innocent at that age.

Fletcher spent the night with der Brucer, so the pups didn't have to sleep with the poots.   :o ;D ::)

What a gorgeous day we have in southern North CArolina today. High in the 60s with a brilliant blue sky and no clouds. Spring certainly seems to be on its way. Hooray!

Yesterday we had a baby shower for my nephew John and his wife Jamie (parent's of my grand-neice Taylor).

The shower was fun..lots of people...lots of food...but short lived as Jamie went into labor during the festivities! LOL!

Three hours later I have a brand spanking new grand-nephew named Benjamin Cooper Wyland!

Didn't Uncle Mike, the proud owner of a new digital camera, take pictures to share? (Well, I guess dashing into the labor room might be deemed a tad intrusive.)

We'll be patient.

Spent the morning watch Broadway the Golden Age. I liked it better than the PBS special. But it is nice to have both. I am off to Fort Lauderdale to see if I can my find a copy of On A Clear Day You Can See Forever,

I'm hoping to see Spamalot, although the timing is not great, as it opens that Friday night.  My only shot is Saturday matinee, but Todd Ellison, who is the conductor, doesn't know if his house seats will be available because critics will still be coming in.

Otherwise, I know I can get house seats for Wicked, and I might try for Dirty Rotten Scoundrels.
