I don't think I will be going to the bank and market today.  In my search for the source of the roaches, I took apart the bathroom to vacuum, and then mop, the floors and wash out any possible breeding places with Clorox.  I just finished, the cats are barred until everything dries, and my body aches all over.  When the floors are dry, I must return and put everything back.

I like Wild In The Country....though I certainly agree with MR BK's comments in the notes...

I just like that Elvis is faced with three different kinds of girls:  Tuesday Weld, the bad girl;  Hope Lange, the repressed woman; and Millie Perkins, the good girl....

Kind of like Troy Donahue in PARRISH when he had to choose among Connie Stevens, the sweet girl gone wrong; Diane McBain, the bad rich girl; and Sharon Hugueny, the good girl.....

I don't know if I'm up or not - six hours of sleep so far and have been working at the piano for the last hour.  Maybe I'll try to get another two hours right now.

And if Jane's around - the Facebook algorithms are deadly right now - I know this because it's very simple to know - the post I made yesterday has ONE like and that's from someone who saw it on The Creature page and came over to like it.  So, comments and likes will at least help.  I hate Facebook and their dumb algorithms - put a link in a post, that post is guaranteed to be seen by as few people as possible, sometimes never, sometimes a week later (I'm getting likes on Indiegogo posts from when we were at 171%, which is, coincidentally, when I took that ad that's been running).  Put a photo of me and Cindy up - two hundred likes.  No link.

No Roach Vibes for DR ELMORE.....

It was quoted in the New York Times in 1999:

"If there's a nuclear war, only two species will survive: the cockroaches and Cher."

The cats and I finished Season 4 of Downton Abbey and we are on to Season Five.

We are now into Sad Sack Edith's interminable Marigold storyline, which I loathe for the simple reason that Edith fucks up two families, the Swiss family who adopted Marigold only to havew Miss Sad Sack show up and take the brat back  and the Drews who take her in as daughter of one of their friends.  Before this storylines finishes up, she's driven Mrs Drew crazy with her obsession and driven the Drews off the land the Drew family farmed for centuries.

I did notice that the series shows signs of success in several ways: they could never have afforded to do the Season Four closer with Paul Giamatti and Shirley MacLaine, the royal court presentation, etc. in the first seasons, and the score now includes brass and reeds, not just the piano and strings of the first seasons.

I will see if I can find it.  You can always tag me in a comment & ask if I saw it.  I think your doing a tag will also help.

I’ve been hugely E&T today, and am now back from my second (and last) session sitting next to the keyboardist I’m subbing for next Saturday. The two of us happen to be very detail oriented people, so there’s always much to go over and obsess over getting right...which I very much enjoy.

This is the person who had me sit in for PIPPIN, and we’ve shared a few other gigs. It’s a privilege. More, please.

Take it from a CPA with years of experience: A bigger weekly budget always buys more than a smaller weekly budget.  And a successful fussbudget can always get a bigger weekly budget.

I slept quite badly last night.  Since the lethal cocktail I took the night before did absolutely nothing top kill the pain, I took nothing last night.  Between this situation and the Sept. 12 surgery anxiety I am very down at the moment.

Sometimes when DR GEORGE mentions that he is watching a television programme, I have to stop and think "is THAT still ON?"

We have our September board meeting today....a week early....which of course interferes with our 3-Day Weekend, which those in charge don't seem to care about.

Oh well.

Damn them!  Damn them all to hell! >:(
