In June, my parents celebrated their 55th wedding anniversary!

I'm back to watching an episode of Musical Comedy Tonight with Patti LaBelle singing Heat Wave. It's interesting because her performance is electric. Her amazing voice is all over the place, all in service of the song. The dancers are wonderful. And the audience is sitting on its hands in awe of every word. When she finishes, they start to applaud and they can barely stop themselves. Wow, what manners. So unlike today. She was never interrupted with whoops and hollers or any of that nonsense.

I miss audiences like that.

Well, this is an interesting news item...Vinyl Is Poised to Outsell CDs For the First Time Since 1986. 

In the near future, the revenue generated by record sales is likely to surpass the revenue generated by CDs.

I am sure it will be in the paper tomorrow.  It was the top news story on the Seattle late night news programs.

They have revised the number of lightning strikes we had around Northwest Washington on Saturday evening.

[TCB]

Last night they thought it was about 400 strikes an hour during the three-hour storm.  Tonight they said the total was actually about 2,225 strikes.  439 strikes in Pierce County alone.

They said we may have some more tomorrow, but nothing like Saturday night.
