OMG, where did this lack of energy come from?

I have to be out of here in a few minutes, and all I want to do is crawl back into bed.

I got a nice message from my doctor about postponing the sinus operation.

That was nice of your doctor.

This morning I am repeating my 3 month glucose test, along with a 2 hour fasting glucose test.  Fingers crossed my results are greatly improved.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep - maybe I'll try to get another hour shortly.

Tuesday afternoon greetings!  I've spent the morning updating the AAUW Middletown website, after receiving my yearly program book at last night's meeting.  We're in for a good year.

Also, I've been watching a couple of videos that may be of interest only to DR Elmore, but I promised to share them when they were created 3 years ago.  Just finally found them linked on the website for the library where my career began.  You might remember when I participated in the oral history project for the 50th anniversary of Miami University Middletown.  Here is the complete footage of the library session:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=gHvIAVQTcPU

I'm up front with the current library director and a now-retired staff member who began her tenure with me and retired with him.  You'll see Richard in the back and next to him, in the blue blazer, is my dear friend Rebecca.  I worked with 2 of the 3 former student assistants in the library and with the 3rd in theatre productions.  He's now our neighbor.

This next video is the session about the Dave Finkelman Auditorium, the fantastic (but woefully underutilized) performing arts venue on campus:

www.youtube.com/watch?v=14tkZeAGCio

The front row is a fellow performer, a former technical director (who has since passed on  :'(), and the current technical director.  DR Elmore knows most of the people in the back row, too.

These are long, so I'll understand if no one else cares to watch.

DR Ginny, is that John Minor in the second row of the library interview?

Yes, DR Elmore, John is right behind me in the library interview and next to me in the auditorium.  John had worked in the library as a student, but had transferred to Oxford before I arrived.

Thursday we had the car serviced.  On the way home Keith noticed the air bag light was on.

Friday he returned the car and was given a loaner while they tried to figure out the problem.  They determined the air bag needed replacing.

We were sure, considering the timing, a wire had come lose.  Nope they insisted, it couldn't have happened.  They ordered a replacement.  Apparently air bags can not be flown on planes & must be transported by land.  It was to arrive tomorrow.

This afternoon they called to say someone adjusted the seat in order to move the car & the light went out.  Guess what, a wire under the seat came lose, has been fixed, and all is good now.

Playwright Peter Nichols has passed away - in his 90s, so a nice, long life.  He was, I thought, a wonderful writer, and I had the pleasure of co-starring in his play Forget-Me-Not Lane at the Mark Taper Forum, and then in the filmed version for PBS' Theater in America.

That version was the first production of his work that  I thought of when I read the obit.
