Well, you've read the notes, the notes have come and gone like so many notes before, and now it is time for you to post until the come and gone cows come home.

I'm still watching the Emmys.  The In Memoriam section was very well done.

Why is it that I have zero interest in ever watching such a thing as Game of Thrones?  And just because I'd never heard of it, I watched fifteen minutes of that one-word comedy on Amazon with the Brit lady who won tonight.  I found it thoroughly unfunny.

We read all the books in the Game of a Thrones series and quite enjoyed them and we also enjoyed the series.

So perhaps you just don’t care for that genre?

I rescheduled today's podiatrist appointment.  I can't get my energy revved up for walking about the Flatiron district this morning.

I'm still watching the Emmys.  The In Memoriam section was very well done.

Except they ran a picture of the very much alive Leonard Slatkin and called him Andre Previn.

I don’t. And I stopped watching after season one.

We watched Part Five of Ken Burns' Country Music.  I stopped caring about the Emmys years ago, and i'm feeling the same these days about the Oscars.

After the first hour, we stopped watching the Emmys and watched THE AFFAIR.

Good show.

I’ve had to run AC relatively little since our very hot July. Last night was one of those times, and certainly this afternoon and evening will be. Then that should be it for a while.

Tonight, something fun and a little different. I’m going to the Bedford Playhouse for the latest in their classics series, PULP FICTION. While that, in our minds, is a contemporary film as opposed to a “classic”, it’s sobering to be reminded that it’s also a quarter of a century old. It’s also funny that it will be my second Tarantino film seen there in a month. But I haven’t watched it straight through in years, and since this jernt is the best place to see anything it should be stunning. The theater’s John Farr is an excellent host, and the evening will be topped off with a Q&A with former NY Times critic Janet Maslin. Hopefully, Mr. Robert Harris will be there as well.

I watched five minutes of the Emmy Awards....and that was enough....Amy Pohler and some other woman were yakking and yakking and YAKKING and finally gave an award to Alex Borstein who proceeded to talk about body parts.....

I have never heard of most of the shows OR the actors - so it's not much fun for me anymore.

TOD:

I have a Vizio 32" TV in the computer room, an Emerson 45" TV in my bedroom, and a Sanyo 32" TV in the living room.

I like the picture on the Emerson TV best - and it was easy to set up.

My favorite TV was a 40" Polaroid....but I don't know if they even make tv's anymore.

Oddly, I’ve never been an Emmys watcher. I’m sure there have been times when I would have enjoyed it, but somehow it never rose to the right level in my consciousness.
