Yesterday, I finally watched Lincoln Center’s CAROUSEL with Kelli O’ Hara and Nathan Gunn.  Wow, what a great production.

I really enjoyed it, too.

Good night, Tom.  I'm off, too.  I'm going to be helping my sister at a Suicide Prevention walk in the morning.  We'll be at a table for PFLAG.
It's too damned early, if you ask me...but I said that I'd help, so I shall.

It's the American Foundation for Suicide Prevention's Out of the Darkness Olympia Walk.  After that, I'm working concessions again at the Washington Center for the Performing Arts.  Then if my family is still at my sister's for our weekly(ish) family dinner, I'll go there, then go home.

It's quite chilly this morning.  Annabelle crawled into bed with me, but Stella decided to edge her way in as well.  Then, all she wanted to do was wrestle with Annabelle.  It was hell.

I could use some good vibes: I'm heading back into another major debt crisis because of too little work.  As I've said a million times before, that damned Ohio property will never sell, and it's only going to destroy me by letting me fret myself to death over it.  I am neither happy nor content at the moment.

So here's our latest Kit Kat adventure.

Our Emcee, 46 years of age and in all apparent excellent health, had a stroke yesterday. Fortunately, he was with his wife when she noticed something wrong. She called an ambulance and the local hospital airlifted him to Yale New Haven where they inserted a stent in his carotid artery to relieve the blockage. He'll be in ICU for a few days. Outlook is good, but too early to tell as far as long term effects. He's a great guy.

Our director, who has years of experience but had never played this role (but knows the show backwards), went on in place of him, did a fine job, and will of course get better.

George, sorry I missed your post last night.  The news had been especially fascinating me, and eventually I feel asleep watching TV, so when I woke up so that I could go to bed I checked HHW on the way

I find what BK's actor's reaction  so odd - that someone specifically tells Bk their agent is actively trying to keep them from doing the play with BK, and is then surprised  that the info they provided is actually taken into account.

Tom, isn't Eugene a nice but insubstantial part in BROADWAY BOUND, but when I'd seen it, the actress playing Kate Jerome tends to get almost all the acclaim there.  It's IIRC one of Linda Lavin's most celebrated NY stage performances.

Hello from West Seneca, NY.  Temp was 41 degrees when I landed but it’s a balmy 57 now.  It feels great!

We had a more relaxing day though I was tempted to take the train to Blackpool to see if I could find my grandfathers pauper grave.
