And caught up with all the posts. Did I forget the word of the day? I fear I did. Oh, well, TWO words tomorrow.
The flight was great, as soon as we got past the slight little screwup. I got there two hours early so I could get my aisle bulkhead seat. The guy who did my ticket said they'd already given it to me. So, that was great. But, when I boarded the plane there was someone sitting in my seat. The flight attendant looked at my ticket and they gave me the fershluganah WINDOW seat, a claustrophobe's nightmare. I said I wouldn't sit there - the attendant was great, though, and he got the guy to move, so I had my aisle. The attendant was quite miffed that they'd screwed up (it was CLEARLY and HUGELY written in my record that it had to be the bulkhead AISLE). He wrote a note and gave it to the gate person, who said he'd fix it for my return home. I hope that means they just give me the correct seat now, then I don't have to get to the airport two hours early. I'll call in the morning and find out.
The flight flew by (to coin a phrase) - that was because I was reading my heavy tome and making corrections. So many typos and weirdnesses, but I think I'm catching most of them. Also, a few repitious things (and not in a good way), and a few things to smooth out, but I'm kind of enjoying the thing.
