This is completely screwy.  I only got four hours of sleep due to the idiot neighbors and their loud youngsters - I am going to have to come on strong, I guess.  But I was sure I came right here to post and yet I don't see it.  I thought I posted when I got back from the mail place and lunch.  Is someone trying to gaslight me?

Just before I left to go see the play, my computer said Time Machine had reconfigured itself and would be starting a big back-up and getting rid of the older ones.  When I left it was still "preparing" and it's still doing whatever.  It said it could take hours.  And when I got home from the play after getting some snacks at Gelson's, it was clear that the computer had shut down and restarted.  And then a pop-up saying there'd been a problem and that it had shut down and restarted.

The play was really terrible - an adaptation of Night of the Living Dead.  No pace, and what works on film doesn't work on stage.  Eighty minutes seemed much longer.  And the biggest problem is that everything they've done to the lobby in terms of decor would lead you to believe you're going to see a send-up or something funny.  And the pre-show announcement solidifies that.  And then you get the movie, which is completely humorless.

Now I'm listening to more music - Jackie Gleason, music for lovers - so where the HELL is my lover?

Was it a play or a movie?

Good morning from what must be the most secure school in the country. I  am speaking to the children today about pollinators.

I love your latest avatar.  So, your grandchild is already shaving?

Back to reading THE WHISPER MAN.  I am tempted to read the ending to find out what happens.  I only do that with books I am not sure are worth continuing to read.  This one is excellent.

If the book is excellent, why would you want to read the ending early?

TOD:
I'm  watching DOWNTON ABBEY, the second time through. It holds up very well. I'm looking forward to the movie. Amazon lists the movie as a bestseller, even though it hasn't released yet.

I thought the movie was already playing nationwide.  It is playing here.

Well, it's time for me to leave and head downtown to volunteer for a concert with two guitar trios.  I'm sure that it'll be very good.  I don't know how much I'll miss...hopefully, not too much.  I'm working barback with one of the actual bartenders who serves mixed drinks, so that's different than what I usually do in concessions.  But that can be fun itself. ;)

Until later!

Wow!  Two guitar trios?  I wish I had known!

Hi, Tom.  I'm home.  The two groups individually and together were wonderful!

Today I had lunch with my friend, Diane.  We met at the Black Bear Diner.  I enjoyed my meal, and the conversation.

They also have a new combined CD that's nominated for a Grammy.

I would've made the same choice...I'm not a fan of pot roast.
