Today I am meeting up with a former co-worker (and a very dear friend) for lunch.  And that will be about it for my social calendar.

Today I am meeting up with a former co-worker (and a very dear friend) for lunch.  And that will be about it for my social calendar.

Yesterday, I had lunch with a former co-worker (but not exactly a very dear friend...a friend, certainly).  Lunch was at the River's Edge, a restaurant in Tumwater Valley.  Lunch was quite delish and the company was delightful.

I am trying to get the cats ready for the time change by sleeping later in the morning, but I'm having little success.  They already start letting me know it's breakfast time around 5:45, and it will be worse when the new time is 4:45!

Litter and kitty dishes are cleaned, and I have 90 minutes before I head out.

I am going to watch the closing arguments in this Wisconsin murder case this morning.

Both the defense and the prosecution are incompetent so I don't imagine their closings will be any different.....

Social Security sent me fifty cents LESS this month - it's a long story - but that's better than the $271 less they thought they should send me.....

I dutifully arose at 7:30 and fed the troops, then went right back to bed for another couple hours of sleep. Reason being, a while after enjoying NIGHT OF THE LIVING DEAD last night, I got into the mood for more Halloween movie watching and turned on TCM to eventually fall asleep by. By then they were on to Corman for the rest of the night, and I caught the second half of HOUSE OF USHER, the entirety of PIT AND THE PENDULUM, and the first third of THE HAUNTED PALACE before fading out. Oy. I didn’t need that much, and I felt it this morning.
