Yesterday was an absurdly sneezy day, so I enjoyed a pretty solid Benadryl sleep.

I just finished copying the last of the eight episodes of FOSSE / VERDON off the DVR. Now I can watch them again at some point, in HD, but now they’re “mine” and they won’t be taking up DVR space.

I’m going to get a larger external hard drive that will be dedicated to DVR stuff that’s a keeper and any other such things. That can be plugged in to the Blu-ray player when something is to be watched, which is the most efficient way I know to store and manage all of those lovely gigabytes. If anyone has other ideas, please speak up. I can still burn things to disc whenever there’s a reason to.

And that, dear fellow readers, brings you up to date on my evening and morning.
Pretty exciting, eh?

This evening I have auditions for the next spoof show (two in a row? yep) that my author/director friend wrote. This one goes up in February.

I'm up, I'm up - five hours of sleep, I guess.  Fell asleep around 1:15, but woke up at three with an upset tummy.  Went back to bed at around four, fell asleep around four-thirty.

Sunday morning greetings!  Richard went to church and I’m taking it easy, per DR Jane’s orders.  I have watched the first 2 episodes of season 3 of The Crown.

DR Laura, DR Ginny was working at the Miami University-Middletown campus library.  My first memory is that I was checking out some books and she mentioned seeing me in a recent performance, but I cannot remember now what that was.

I think it was Pirates of Penzance, DR Elmore.

Kimmel, I want to thank you for saving my life yesterday.  I had jury duty downtown and to sit in the juror room for eight hours.  Fortunately, I had your book "Kritzerland" to read and read the whole thing and started "Kritzer Time".  Without them, I would have thrown myself out the window.  I was on the first floor but still.

Eight hours!  That is torture.  A lot of reading can be done in that amount of time, and is much better with good reading.  Thank goodness you had the books with you.

But before I go...Tom and I had this interchange last night:

And George, I believe, is ushering for something about a dead dog.

Yes, The Curious Incident of the Dog in the Night-Time...and it was very good!

Anybody I know in the show?

I don't know who you know.  Shannon Olivia Agostinelli plays the lead's mother.

Nope, don’t know her.

Oh...I mentioned her because you two are Facebook friends. ::) I just assumed that you might've acted together at some point, or had at least met.

This is funny.

DR TCB I am sorry you are tempted to skip Christmas with your family.  Have you discussed the uselessness of giving the cold shoulder with your niece?

Maybe her coping skills are down.  How are her children doing?

Three hours after putting my flannel sheets into the washing machine I was finally able to get the spin cycle to work correctly and put the sheets into the dryer.  I am extremely relieved.

I'm on a break from the choral piece. Stella, Thatch and I are watching TV.  Annabelle is ignoring us this afternoon.

Actually, the kids were fairly good. The parents were another story.

Some didn't arrive until the intermission started. I guess it's just a San Antonio thing.

It looks like a sailboat club was out boating today, loads of them just hanging out on the river along our walking path.  I don't think I have ever seen so many varieties of grey sails, plus a couple of black ones.  They were perfect on this drizzly day.

The autumn leaves on the bank behind them made for a pretty backdrop.

Back from another run-through - a tiny bit smoother and, shockingly, act three, even with all the line calls, ran exactly thirty-five minutes - we'll shave at least five to ten off that.  But act one and two really have to start coming down.
