Keith insists I do not have a cold and it is only the same allergy symptoms he has been suffering with.

I hope he is right as a cold is only going to get worse before it gets better.

I'm up, I'm up - almost ten hours of sleep - woke up at noon-thirty.  Allergies are on the cusp, so I cancelled out of the Pearls - they have a big ol' cat and there's no way I wouldn't be a wreck within five minutes despite the Claritin-D.  If I wasn't already on the cusp of an allergy attack I might chance it, but adding a cat into the equation, well, not a good idea.

Sorry to hear that BK isn't able to go to the Pearls and that Jane and Keith are ailing, too.

Last night DR Jennifer asked what my favorite reading light is. My favorite is the little Luminolite, a battery-powered clip-on, which really works great for my purposes. It takes a couple hours to recharge, so I bought a second one (about $12 on Amazon). Good light, three levels (as the charge runs down I switch to a higher level), and clips easily to my book.

The lamp I posted about the other day is a pole lamp, which I placed at the end of the sofa where there's no room for a table. It wasn't expensive and works quite well. I find the ghost feature rather funny, but I will purchase a surge protector for it. The comedy diminishes quickly.

I am always surprised at how many stores and restaurants are open on holidays. There are probably more of them than I'm aware of. So many people are busy or don't like to cook. Or are cooking, but need some last-minute or forgotten items.

BK will need to give us a report on a Jerry's dinner. What did you choose? Was Jerry's busy? Families or singles or couples?

Inquiring minds need to know!

I am glad we don't have plans tonight.

Then we made a fairly short stop at the market to exchange something.

Then we bundled up & went for a walk.  I over exercised my legs & cut the walk a bit short.

I stopped by the mail place, since I figured the two screeners everyone else got were there - I'm not sure why they don't put them IN the box - it seems like they'd fit, but maybe they're just a bit too big, but there were indeed two slips in there, which means they're there and I'll get them tomorrow.

I went to Gelson's rather than Jerry's, got a few carved turkey slices, a small thing of mac and cheese, yams, and stuffing, and came home and ate it all.  It was okay and I feel full and like I had a Thanksgiving meal.

Have been listening to the beautiful music of Michael Conway Baker, and now I think I'll brave watching The Joker.

DR Vixmom it is too late now but record the Macy's Thanksgiving parade on NBC. CBS's coverage is a joke. They have no musical numbers at the beginning, no rockettes, no singing on the floats.

Watching Local Hero for the first time since the 1980s. Love this movie.

I just got in from a festive gathering, I've given the kitties their after dinner treat, and now I must wash up their dinner bowls and get ready for bed.
