My wife, Sandy, will be having surgery tomorrow (16), so my visits to this page will be minimal (if at all) for a few days.

Prayers and positive thoughts appreciated.

Best of vibes Sandy will be fine and the surgery a success!

Wednesday morning greetings!  This afternoon I have my annual eye exam, so will probably not be around much afterwards.

And that said, I would vote for Rin-Tin-Tin, R2D2, Charles Manson, or Jack the Ripper if any of them were running against Donald Trump.

BK, is this a record for you in terms of finishing a book this quickly?

My question for ASK BK DAY:

In most Paramount Pictures back in the day, there was a credit that read:  Process Photography by Farciot Eouart.

Did this mean that he went out and photographed the background that was used in the scene or did he photograph the action that took place in front of the screen?

He did the background plates.  The actual director did what was in front of the plates.

It is indeed.  I did both memoirs in three weeks.

Show order is done, at least the first pass, and I began the commentary last night.  But now, Microsoft is doing one of its endless and irritating updates.  After that finishes, then I'll be on my way to Staples to Xerox.

I easily get Rin-Tin-Tin & R2D2.  Maybe Jack the Ripper if he truly was a high functioning aristocratic.  Charles Manson, no way.

Back from Xeroxing pages and lunch.  Muse Margaret isn't home, so I'll wait until she is, then bring the pages over to her.

Not feeling great. I exposed myself to too much cedar pollen today at a work event. The place was surrounded by cedars all in bloom. It was disgusting.

J.B. got his reward for being a good watch bird this week. I bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner. He's happily enjoying his share.

I've started watching The Story of Temple Drake, a melodrama based on Faulkner's Sanctuary, which is one of his books I haven't read.

Miriam Hopkins is quite good. Everything has the feeling of being lurid and Southern in the extreme.
