Well, apparently, I forgot to log out before we left for the eye doctor.  My appointment was uneventful, no changes, and he told me I'm perfect.

We went for a late lunch to a new (to our area) place called Chicken Salad Chick and we're looking forward to going back after Richard's eye appointment next week.  Yes, we liked it.

J.B. got his reward for being a good watch bird this week. I bought a rotisserie chicken for dinner. He's happily enjoying his share.

I know.  I too was shocked.

I wonder if BKs book has anything to do with bringing a certain musical to stage after years of it languishing in a drawer unproduced....

And now, I'm off to my production meeting.  It think that we on the staff will also stay and watch the rehearsal.  That will be fun.

Be back later.

I've been wondering why no one tried to rewrite "Applause" to put Adisson DeWitt back in.

Looking at the scenes with George Sanders and Marilyn Monroe. I'm betting his calling her "a graduate of the Copacabana School of Dramatic Arts" would get boos these days

After she gets the producer so delighted to be able to fetch her a drink, "Well done. I can see your career rising in the East like the sun."

The extras on Temple Drake are quite interesting, especially on on the original storyboards, which look like German expressionism. They don't use the ugly word "proto-noir," but noir couldn't have happened without some of the lighting effects used. Beautiful in its ugliness, if that makes sense.

The Up Series came in to the library. It's a collection of the first six movies in the documentary series that begins with Seven Up, which I'm watching for maybe the third time.

It's amazing to see these children again, all aged seven, and know that they'll be back every seven years.

I hope the library gets a copy of that because it hasn't reached the theaters here.
