Sunday morning greetings!  Richard has gone to church in Dayton and I'm enjoying some solitude.

Yesterday I went to Beavercreek (Dayton 'burb) to do some papercrafting with friends.

Right, DR JRand!  But Richard does have a eye exam, so we'll get to go out to lunch.

Hugh cancels everything.  I think he's a bit of a flake.  He agreed to sing for John McGlinn's memorial in 2009, then neither showed up nor explained his absence.

Sounds like he was typecast in Side Show.

I've been listening to Borodin's two string quartets, which I love.  The second quartet was the source for "And This Is My Beloved" and "Baubles, Bangles and Beads" from Kismet, but this morning I began to wonder if its final movement was the source for "Quiet" from Bernstein's Candide.

I had a book on hold at the library & noticed there will be a mini series released this year.  Knowing Keith will probably want to see the mini series I went to Goodreads to see if I still want to read it.  It turns out I read the book in 2017 & actually gave it 4 stars (mostly I don't rate books).

This is a perfect example of why I began keeping track of the books I have read ;D

I've had a very lazy day, lounging with the kitties.  I lay down to listen to a CD and slept through most of it, and I did take care of some business, but I mostly lounged.

Hugh cancels everything.  I think he's a bit of a flake.  He agreed to sing for John McGlinn's memorial in 2009, then neither showed up nor explained his absence.

I saw him in Seattle's 5th Avenue production of Sunday in the Park with George some years ago, and he was very good...as was the production.

Both were said to be sick. Hugh apparently had laryngitis. Or so they told the Friday audience.

I think my DVD may be on its last legs. It has skipped a whole bit of this DVD as far as the timing is concerned. But the movie picked up where it left off.

Sadly, I'm now at the part where it has come down to either the tiger or the hero. I'm afraid the tiger doesn't stand a chance in 1950s cinema.

Weird. The timing on the DVD has corrected itself.

That's too bad.  They both sounded really good the night that I saw it.

I saw that Lang triple feature on DVD DR JOHN G.

Debra Paget is indeed eye popping - and I may have seen the uncut version of the dance....
