It might be French, as it's written by a french person, but all of the other markings are in Italian.  Any insight?



I've found this on a French "musical" site:

   Céder   Ou Cédez, employé fréquemment dans les partitions au début du XXe s., dans le sens de RITENUTO.

I've always loved Eddie Albert, and while Eva Gabor wasn't a huge talent, GREEN ACRES was exactly the perfect show for her meager abilities. The show became actually surreal the more it ran, and I am REALLY looking forward to watching the 2nd season to see when the writers really started doing outlandish things with the characters.

The weird thing is, this photo was taken on-set at World Premiere, which Frances was filming.  And the token black in that movie was Mantan Moreland.  Maybe he had another shoe-shine stand over by Barrymore and Cortez.  :)

I believe 1040 Las Palmas was and maybe still is Hollywood General Studios.  It was, of course, most famously, Francis Coppola's Zoetrope.

I am no longer thinking of zipping over to Canterbury Records in my Very Red Car.  I have let the day slip away.  Maybe I'll just hit someplace in the valley or in Hollywood.

Hollywood General....ah!

TCM has all the remastered musicals on tonight....Easter Parade, Brigadoon, Bandwagon, Bells Are Ringing, and The Pirate.  Hopefully in stereo!

The money goes to the rescue group.  We try to have a set amount, $100 (!!!), which covers health expenses, fees for rescuing the dogs from the SPCA, that sort of thing.  However, in the case of the Single Mother and her Daughter, who were so clearly getting their lives back in order after the divorce, the fee was reduced by half, der Brucer's discretion.

We'll have to see what happens with Peggy.  Her new habit of climbing over the fence has us worried.  I've already mentioned to der B the possibility of finding another foster home for her.

Well, I did MY share of work today.  I mowed both the front and the back yard.  Then I took B & B to check their Pee mail.  

Hee Haw was a "must see" in our house since my Dad was a C & W singer at one time.  

I'll never forget the one night my Dad sat bolt upright at one song someone was singing.  He said it was his--he had wrote it but I don't think he had it copywrited.  

I also remember watching Petticoat Junction and Green Acres.  

Speaking of Eddie Albert--have you ever seen his son, Edward Albert?  He used to guest on Beauty and The Beast, talk about woof!!!   ;D

As for the walk in October, we'll see.  As I said, I do want to see Chitty and if Michael Ball/Crawford come over for Woman in White, you know I WILL be there.  

We'll just have to see what events unfold between now and then.   :D

Are you reimbursed at all for your expenses?  Is there a vet that charges the rescue group or do you go to your own vet?

I wish we could do what you do.  It isn’t easy.

Danise did you learn the song/songs from your father?  
If you like Edward Albert you might want to rent some of his movies.  I haven’t seen him in much lately.

Delaware is a lot more lax about neutering the animals than California.  No coupon, since there's no budget, but no mandatory neutering either.

Doc Chris charges the group.  Other than that, we're spending our own cash.
