That is interesting DR CHAS SMITH.....I have never lived in a house that was specifically built for me.....

It wasn’t built for me until the end stages. But the builder was a friend, and he was able and willing to accommodate my few crazy ideas, such as including the darkroom, having the laundry room upstairs with the bedrooms, and a couple of little things I can’t even think of now.

DR Chas that is cool you have a dark room and used to develop photos.  Our first home in Michigan had a dark room in our bedroom which was a converted art studio.  We used it for our closet.

You know what’s sad? I don’t even have a picture of the darkroom! :)

Fortunately, I’ll be able to remedy that, both as a means of listing the equipment for sale and of course to have the memento.

I started watching westerns a little later:

Pete Duel, Alias Smith and Jones
Sam Elliott, The Yellow Rose
Henry Darrow, The High Chaparral
Burt Reynolds, Gunsmoke
Doug McClure, The Virginian
Michael Landon, Bonanza
Barbara Stanwyck, The Big Valley

Oh!  My sister and I used to watch Alias Smith and Jones.  I'd forgotten that.

Thatch sees Dr Romero on Saturday at 2:30.  We love her.

Nice!

Saw him once. It was a writers luncheon and he was supposed to do a reading. He ad libbed his presentation and was warmly funny and ingratiating.

Thursday afternoon greetings!  I had a very long breakfast get-together with Rebecca this morning and then made 2 shopping stops on my way home.  I've been puttering ever since.

Sorry to have been E & T this week.  No particular reason, good or bad, just haven't had much to say.  Richard and I finally got all of the holiday decor, except the angel collection, stowed in the basement.  Those angels have been known to hang around until Memorial Day, but the won't this year.

I shall now be on my way to the mail place, then the concert rehearsal, then the play designer run-through.

"Cheering for Me Now" by John Kander and Lin-Manuel Miranda.  Has anyone seen this?  I never knew it existed until 10 minutes ago.

I loved that show and was devastated when Pete Duel committed suicide

From this list:

Barbara Stanwyck, The Big Valley

Annabelle has been very clingy and desirous of being held.  While I hold her, she chirps, trills, and utters glorious sounds of sheer happiness.

Westerns were my favorite tv shows to watch.  Some have already been named.
Peter Brown: The Lawman
Steve McQueen: Wanted Dead or Alive
Richard Boone: Have Gun Will Travel
Clint Walker: Cheyenne
Jack Kelly & James Garner: Maverick
Gene Barry: Bat Masterson

I just stopped as I realized not a single show there truly answered the question as none of them were cowboys.

On The Rifleman Chuck Connors & Johnny Crawford had a ranch so I guess they count as favorite cowboys.

Jim Lehrer, who wrote Viva, Max and hosted the PBS NewsHour, has died at 85.

It was a wonderful experience to be trusted by Jim, and his rep then for his novels Jesseca Salky, with making a musical of that novel.

The last thing he wrote to us when we sent him the latest 2019 version of the script was:
"I appreciate the script PDF. Rest assured that I am delighted to be with you always on the VIVA MAX! adventure. My best, Jim"

The only John Wayne movie that I've seen (and remember) and specifically like is The Quiet Man.

I was going to go to a run-through of Equivocation, but this afternoon I got an e-mail from the stage manager saying that one of the actors is sick, so there won't be a run-through.  They're just going to do scene work, so I don't really need to go.
