So what do we do now that we're on page three?

I watched a couple more episodes of Fosse Verdon.

All the gripes are valid, but the show is entertaining me, flaws and all.

But the worst of the casting is the weird choice of the guy who's supposed to be Ben Vereen.

I should go to bed. But I won't get to disc 2 until the end of the weekend.

I'm watching Late Night with Seth Meyers from Tuesday and Aidy Bryant is one of the guests.  She's hysterical!

She has a show on Hulu (I think), but of course, I've never seen it.

The clip that they showed was pretty funny...not funny enough for me to sign up (and pay) for Hulu, though. ::)

Speaking of B&W photos, would you believe I have a real darkroom in my house that’s set up for black-and-white film and photo developing? (Color is a lot more demanding in terms of equipment and temperature and light control.)

When the house was being built and it was decided that I was to be its owner, I was able to ask for a few custom things, and this was one of them. I sketched out what I needed in terms of a sink and countertop and cabinet space, and they made room for it by taking a few feet of interior garage space which didn’t impact the parking of a car there, and building a narrow room out into that space. It’s entered from the Music Room and looks like just another closet.

Sadly, that age has passed, even though I’m often tempted to shoot a few rolls and have at it for old times sake. And I’m afraid it’s just a storage space now, even though all the equipment is there and it could easily be made operational again if I cleared everything else out of there. But I really need to accept that that ain’t gonna happen, and clean it up and sell it.

My father had a dark room in his house in Canada ...he owned two hasselblatt cameras and did some lovely work.  My nephews wife is a photographer so we all agreed that he should inherit the bulk of his grandfathers phitography stuff.

Jim Lehrer, who wrote Viva, Max and hosted the PBS NewsHour, has died at 85.

It was a wonderful experience to be trusted by Jim, and his rep then for his novels Jesseca Salky, with making a musical of that novel.

The last thing he wrote to us when we sent him the latest 2019 version of the script was:
"I appreciate the script PDF. Rest assured that I am delighted to be with you always on the VIVA MAX! adventure. My best, Jim"

Nice.

John Wayne is one of my favorite cowboy actors.

The only John Wayne movie that I've seen (and remember) and specifically like is The Quiet Man.

It is one of his best.

I started watching westerns a little later:

Pete Duel, Alias Smith and Jones
Sam Elliott, The Yellow Rose
Henry Darrow, The High Chaparral
Burt Reynolds, Gunsmoke
Doug McClure, The Virginian
Michael Landon, Bonanza
Barbara Stanwyck, The Big Valley

Oh!  My sister and I used to watch Alias Smith and Jones.  I'd forgotten that.

I loved Alias Smith and Jones. I was heartbroken when Pete Deuel committed suicide
