Stumble-through was great, then I went to the bank, stopped at the mail place and picked up the second important envelope, have perused the locked book, which looks great.  I'll know more if Grant's gonna actually finish the cover and the dust jacket - he has lots to do but I told him if he left this to others it would be a disaster in the making, so he said he'd work on it for an hour and see what's what.

BTW, Elmore, the music in Sanditon never gets any better. Dreadful.

Did you check IMDB.com to see if it was based on a novel?

I did and didn't find a match.

Then it might not have been based on a novel.

I hadn't thought it was until DR John mentioned looking for reading material.

DR John still hasn't responded to my question regarding the name of the author.

Anyway.....after the contretemps - I made sure that each time Prof. McFadden was directing a show at the Phoenix, I would audition.

He wasn't smart enough to realize that the worst thing he could have done to me is cast me in a show where we would have to work together....which he never did....

TOD:

I do have a few fb friends who have drastically reduced their "missing" persons posts.  I believe it is due to my persistence over the years to open the post and read updates prior to sharing.

I have a very sick friend that I doubt would survive the COVID-19, not that I am sure she is going to survive if she gets it oh not :(  Today on fb she put up an excellent list of things to do to prevent getting the virus.  One was of interest to me was to wear a mask.  Everything I have read says it only helps to prevent others catching something you have, not to prevent catching it.  The recommendation to wear the mask is to keep your hands off of your face.  Now that makes sense as I have trouble not touching my face even when I try to remember not to do it.

WARNING

Hello, TCB here from Ground Zero.  I know that you worried about possible exposure to Coronavirus whenever George or Jane or myself signs on to HHW.  The CDC is advising you to keep sanitary wipes next to your computer and use them as soon as we show up.  Be sure to wipe down your mouse and your keyboard, as well as the computer screen.

Thank you!

TCB, regarding your reference to Ground Zero, I know that it was a Washingtonian who died from the COVID-19, but do many people feel scared, feel that they are likely to get it?

Wearing a mask helps the wearer also. If someone near you sneezes you are less likely to receive their sneeze near your nose or mouth. That's helpful whether they are infected with COVID-19 or not.

Robin Cook, who wrote Coma, authored a novel called Contagion. That was the one I was thinking of.

Well, Cary Grant is blind in this movie, and he's flying airplanes. It strains credulity, until you remember that it's Cary Grant. I believe he could do just about anything that a script told him he could do.

I fear that Grant didn't do the cover and that's all going to be up to Doug now.  I can't just send this to the publisher without being fully designed, as they're completely inept.

I'm afraid I've been hoodwinked again by a review for a Blu-ray from my least favorite Blu-ray site.  For the newest version of The Twilight Zone.  I'm three episodes in and these people do not have a clew.  Each of these three episodes is so preachy and heavy-handed, they're no fun, and they're kind of ineptly done.  Jordan Peele as Rod Serling is - not Rod Serling.  They're bloated and overlong, too.  I mean this reviewer RAVED about every aspect.  He's now on my never buy anything he likes list.

When A.E. Hotchner died a week or so ago, it may me want to catch up on some of his work.

I am listening to him reading "Paul and Me," which is his account of his 50+ year friendship with Paul Newman.

I'm also starting to watch King of the Hill again for the first time since it came out. It was based on his memoir of growing up during the Depression. And I remember absolutely nothing about the movie. Karen Allen is in it. A very young Adrian Brody, Spaulding Gray, Lauryn Hill from the Fugees and Elizabeth McGovern are also in the cast.
