I slept rather well.  I can go back to Advil now, and that helps the pain a good deal, much better than Tylenol.

Good.

Well, already I changed my mind about tomorrow's food - was on Door Dash again and decided to give 'em a try to see if I'd have the success I did not have with Cheesecake Factory - there's a Mexican jernt not too far from here that I ate at once with Grant - really like it - a favorite of Muse Margaret, too, so I just ordered tacos and enchiladas from there for delivery today between two and two -thirty.  We'll see how that goes but I'm looking forward to it and it's not too bad, calorie-wise.  Better than a frozen dinner, and better than pasta, which I've been eating too much of.  Those can wait.

Maybe the Cheesecake Factory is just very busy.

I dragged out the cat tunnel, and the cats are playing hide'n'seek.  That Lysine has certainly perked up Annabelle.  Why didn't I think of this two years ago?

I love tunnels for cats & dogs to play in.  I am very pleased & relieved the Lysine continues to work.

Monday morning greetings!  There is actually something on my calendar for this evening.  It’s an AAUW board meeting that we’re doing via something called UberConference.  Film at 11.

Interesting.

Our neighbors are doing a senior run tomorrow morning and asked if we need anything.  It will be interesting what they find.

Damn it to HELL, DR Elmore. That does it. That was the last straw.
I'm taking out my Criterion Blu-ray of Nashville, and I will finally ..... FINALLY ..... watch it!  :)

Ronee Blakely and Barbara Harris rule!

That ensemble cast is amazing.

That whole movie is just above and beyond. It shows an America in a way no other movie has captured. It is up there with Best Years of Our Lives in that.

It's such a rich film with such interesting and eccentric characters: Keenan Wynn, Shelly Duvall, Barbara Baxley, Henry Gibson, and who is the actor playing Barbara Harris' husband?  Gwen Welles has got to have one of the most awkward and humiliating scenes in film. Ronee Blakely reminds me so much of my mother's sister Lois that I have a hard time getting through the film.

And Lily Tomlin. Karen Black is a riot. Keith Carradine. Ned Beatty. Such rich characterizations.

Driveway check:  What the HELL?  It's accumulating!

Snowing heavily, and no sign of it moving into rain for at least a couple of hours.
its raining here, not heavily but steadily

I had to hobble to the corner postbox so I stopped into the bodega.  All the employees were wearing masks, and the bread shelf was full, which really surprised me.

We have gained enormous respect for our Republican governor, who began responding early, who defers to the experts around him, and who creates optics that are setting good examples for social distancing.  We watch his daily briefings, during which he, our rock star state health director Dr. Amy Acton, and the lieutenant governor have separate lecterns and the reporters are not in the same room.  Today the reporters were in the statehouse rotunda so that the seating could be spread out.

I do not agree with most of his political agenda, but I commend him at this time.

It helps when you can respect someone even if you disagree on other issues.  I think only our president and his team are doing press conferences huddled together  ::)

The Cheesecake Factory can't possibly be busy five days ahead.  You simply cannot book a time for this restaurant via Door Dash.

I'm up, I'm up - didn't fall asleep until five thirty or thereabouts - so not quite eight hours of sleep when I arose an hour ago.

We timed our walk in-between the rain.  It worked out well and we arrived home just before a downpour.

I didn't comment on the Chinatown grain - which is odd at times and too much at times, at least on the computer screen - he may be right and if he is someone should explain why they didn't go back to the original negative.

DR JANE I do have what I need - unless we are tied down for more than two or three weeks.....my brother informs me that the STFH order doesn't begin until Wednesday, so we will be going to WalMart at 6 a.m. in the morning.

Not sure what I will find....but I will round out the cabinets....but leave lots for others that follow me.

I just heard that our stores have been given an 8 pm shutdown time, and people have an 8 pm "advisory" but not yet mandatory STF Off The Roads time.

DR VIXMOM I think you would like NASHVILLE, it does have a country music theme - but it's about people - if you know a bit about country music, it may have added interest for you.....in general I think Barbara Jean is a Loretta Lynn type singer and Karen Black is a Lynn Anderson type singer.....etc etc etc....

Geraldine Chaplin's character is so clueless that it is tiresome - as it should be.....but everyone is on the money!  Keith Caradine is very.....seksy.....
