Well, you've read the notes, the notes were an irritant, and now it is time for you to post until the irritated cows come home.

Topic of the Day (I think these are all of her movies that I've seen):

Mary Poppins
S.O.B.
The Sound of Music
Thoroughly Modern Millie
Unconditional Love (it's a cameo, but very funny!)
Victor/Victoria

You haven't seen Torn Curtain?  The Americanization of Emily?  Both very much worth seeing.

I've seen scenes of The Americanization of Emily, but nothing of Torn Curtain...well, yet, I guess. ::)

My library has The Americanization of Emily and I was able to place a hold, but they don't have Torn Curtain.

I have little to report.  I slept poorly, but I woke up to three little kittens claiming they loved me so I would feed them, my legs continue to be a concern, but I'm alive.  Not so bad.

I have this weekend to redo the Babes in Toyland lyrics for the appendix numbers and redo all of the libretto footnotes by Monday, so my viewing of LA Now and Then will be sporadic.  I hope it's still up on Monday in case I do not finish over the weekend.

Today is Saturday, and I think we are going to mow the lawn today....we shall see weatherwise.

I haven't used a lawn mower since my surgery in 2017 because it was on my do not do list - but I think that time has passed, so I shall try it.

Weak legs.....but you can't build them up without doing something!  Says I.

I am surprised the COSSET of TP hasn't gone through the roof with all of the demand.

TOD:

Mary Poppins
Sound of Music
Victor Victoria
Americanization of Emily
Torn Curtain (she’s good in it, but the screenplay is lackluster)
That’s Life

Andrews, in the second volume of her autobiography, writes about how George Roy Hill had a different idea for Millie, a 90-minute movie that had less music and more drive. But the studio wanted a roadshow and that’s what they forced him to make. She’s not very big on the bloat.

A director’s cut would be most interesting.
