I was just about to post this about Star Wars: The Rise of Skywalker last night, but the day got locked:

I actually bought the 4K Ultra HD version of it because it was the same price as the regular 2-disc Blu-ray, but this was available with free (and two-day) shipping from Amazon itself.  None of the regular Blu-ray copies were sold by Amazon itself, only market sellers with no free (or two-day) shipping.  What's that all about?? :o

Today, I'm going to my sister's to help put together a wooden thing for her daughter's chickens to play on.  I'm not exactly sure what it's called...a gym or the chicken equivalent of a short but wide cat tree.  Whatever it is, it'll take a while.  It'll be kind of easy, but not quick. ::)

And now, I'm off to bed to not dream about wooden chicken cat tree gym things. ;)

Have a good day, all!

Easter is my least favorite holiday in the Christian calendar,  I've never understood any of the mythology behind it beyond the incorporation of pagan spring rituals.  I at least understand the mythology behind Christmas and Saturnalia.

I guess that's something.

End of rant.  It will be a quiet day.  I will take care of the libretto footnotes and then watch LA Now and Then.

I do miss my Mother's Easter dinner.  When she wasn't crazy, she was a good cook.

Last night I had two dreams I remember.  In the first one I was had to move the old Toyland office to another office on the same floor.  Matthew Brookshire, the office manager of the Packard Humanities Institute project, was the office manager and we were having a hard time getting phone service.  Then, the head of the foundation that did the Dublin recordings showed up to shoot promotional video.  The person supervising the video was my grad school roommate who died several years ago.

The second dream was about my friend Rob Berman who told me that he had decided not to conduct my recording of Rodgers & Hart's Too Many Girls.  We had a discussion about Kurt Weill's orchestration, although how we got to that from Richard Rodgers is beyond me now!

Easter Sunday greetings!

DR Ginny, tell Richard I hope his mass broadcast goes well.

Thank you, DR Elmore!  He refers me to his “director,” because I help him with the set-up and visuals.

I have also noticed the title syllables/title music phenomenon.  Mr. Max Steiner does it a lot, too.

My wife and I just made an agreement.

She'll make me a new batch of cookies, IF...

I move her sewing machine for her.

I think that's fair.

Sleeping for two solid days helped me feel better, but it made it impossible to go to sleep last night.

It was just as well, because I believe the insulin may have made Nick a bit constipated.  He was up and down all night.

BK, Easter and Passover overlap about 75 to 80% of the time.  The Last Supper celebrated by Jesus and the Disciples was actually a Seder.  They don’t always coincide because of the differences in the two calendars.
