I'm up, I'm up - was up at ten after five hours of sleep.  I tried going back to sleep twice to no avail.

Just as I got in bed, I had a horrible allergy attack and it took forever for the pill to kick in and it's barely working now, just seven hours later.

There was a very negative story about us on the front page of the New York Times, making us appear to be the digital incarnation of Ebenezer Scrooge. We automatically took people’s stimulus checks and applied the money to outstanding debts, whether people wanted thst or not — and while we’re supposedly in a grace period for everyone. Well, it must have hit the fan with a great force. We’re changing our ways and retroactively doing what we should have done in the beginning, letting people have their stimulus checks in whole and doing with them what they want.

Had Islands again.  Fries were great, burger was weird today, not cooked the way I asked (medium WELL) and sloppily made.  May have to give Islands a rest now.

I feel a little like a hypochondriac these days. Anybody else? I question every cough and sneeze. Can I smell? Can I taste? I asked myself these things almost daily.

I suspect it's quite common. A friend of mine who's rather hard-boiled told me that he coughed one morning and was immediately wondering if he had the virus. I've asked myself that a couple times, too.

DR VIXMOM this story answers a few more questions about the Where's My Payment site.  It's from my local Fox59 news station.

https://fox59.com/news/national-world/payment-status-not-available-irs-explains-error-message-users-encounter-on-get-my-payment-tool/

Just a few weeks ago I was combing the IRS site to find a way to submit my direct deposit information. The site said you can submit it when you use tax software to prepare your return or you can ask your tax preparer to do it. I asked my tax preparer since I could not find any way to do it myself. I think the Where's My Payment must be a new addition. A good idea, too. I'm sure many people are very anxious to receive their checks.

There's a restaurant here called the Carving Board, which used to make really good sandwiches. Brian worked there, but after he left they never made my sandwich right, so I stopped going there. I went there today, for take-out, as options are limited. Still not as good as I remember, but at least my order was correct. And the snarky young female order-taker wasn't there.

TOD:
HOWDY DOODY
THE LONE RANGER
MICKEY MOUSE CLUB
CAPTAIN KANGAROO

In high school, Bruce told me about wrestling and I started watching that regularly. Tricky Ricki Starr was my favorite.

James Mason's wife--was her name Pamela?--had a daytime show that I used to watch. It wasn't for kids, but for some reason I liked it. Tiger Milk was the sponsor. She did the Tiger Milk commercials, never according to the script, and they were rather amusing.

I am very glad that in high school I was never asked to watch wrestling ;D

Keith used to go to matches when he was young.  When the boys were into Hulk Hogan and wrestling I had Keith take them to a match. I blissfully stayed home alone.

I suspect so. I feel very bad for all those people losing their jobs, but she was very bad for business. The supervisor was in there today and I didn't see anyone else.

I thought it was really fun to watch. Bruce had told me it was phony. My dad would sometimes watch with me. I never wanted to go in person, though. TV was enough.

Keith always knew it was phony.  When he took the kids he was shocked to realize how many adults believed it.
