I thought I would stop at the corner 7-11 to replenish the milk and was shocked to find it closed. They are open 24 hours a day 365 days a year. They were open over the weekend so I don’t know what happened

I'm back from my weekly shopping expedition. As has been the case recently, it wasn't crowded, which I was happy about. The one thing I haven't been able to find is Softsoap (or something similar. They had tissues, so I bought a box. No paper towels or toilet paper.

Speaking of The Solid Gold Cadillac, I was fortunate to see it in London with Patricia Routledge several years ago. I remember loving her in it and my only criticism is that she pronounced "Maryland" as it sounds. I told my English friend Glenn that and he said "how else would you pronounce it?"

Started an interesting German flick called The Devil Strikes at Night. It's about a serial killer that it took the Germans 10 years to catch. Because Hitler didn't like that it could take his people that long to catch someone, he wouldn't let word of it be publicized and he had the arresting officer transferred to the front.
