Well, I guess The Solid Gold Cadillac in spirit is true to the play, sorta, kinda, in plot. But the original leading lady on Broadway was Josephine Hull, then in her 70s, so completely re-written by Abe Burrows for Miss Holliday and a romance added between her and the Paul Douglas character that obviously didn't exist on Broadway. The play was a really big hit back then at 536 performances or thereabouts.

Today, I'll go back in to work and I should be able to finish the invoicing reports so that the checks can be printed and mailed out to our vendors. I won't have anything else to do for work until Thursday, when we're having another online Teams meetings. It's like Zoom or Skype or the Google Meets that I was on last night for the rehearsal, but it's what they use at my work. Then, I'll wait to find out what's next.

I just figured out how to pair my Bluetooth cell phone headset with my tablet so that when I'm in the work meeting or rehearsal, my tablet's microphone won't pick up the noise of everyone talking. Why didn't I think of this earlier??

I got my tax assessment yesterday and my house has gone up in value almost $8,000 - and I didn't have to do anything.

My sister also came over yesterday and trimmed the BIG bush in my front yard before it got covered with leaves. It grows quickly so I'm sure it will be back to its old self by August.....

I had two dreams about Cole Porter's Jubilee last night. I regret the JMV Foundation's collapse because it was on my list of things to record, and even though the head of the foundation was hard to deal with too often, it was a good job.

I must step out today. I must go to Citibank at 86th and Broadway today, so I think I shall put the laundry in the washers, then make the bank trek. This afternoon I'm planning to make a vat of chili.

As much as I love Judy Holliday, the only two films I really know are Born Yesterday and Bells Are Ringing. I've seen Adam's Rib, but it's been so many years that I'd have to rewatch it for all of its good reasons.
