See, I'll bet no one here even knew about that damned law concerning the consumption of quesadillas.

I've felt safe so far because I haven't yet detected any of Them watching my house. And indeed, why should they suspect me? ME? Nevertheless, one must remain vigilant.

Oh we know, we know...and now we have your written confession....well,  just expect a knock upon the door

Apparently we just had a 3.8 earthquake.  I say apparently because everyone on Facebook is going nuts.  I felt absolutely nothing here.  Zip.  And I am VERY sensitive to these things.  So, don't know where these people were feeling it - one friend in Studio City mentioned as did Grant's wife, who's only a mile from here.  Weird.

I didn't see anyone going nuts, just commenting-lol.  I do have one upset friend but that is because she lost power on top of the earthquake & everything else going on.  I don't believe the two are connected.

DR Jeanne did you feel it?  You are closer to it than Bruce is.

Good. It’s too hot to cook here. I’ve been eating carrots, cheese and fruit all day. Okay, and some popsicles.

I meant to look this up last week when we were talking about it:

In that first season (1979-80), Stratas and Levine take "The Alabama Song" at a leisurely tempo, which I took for granted until I heard the following season's broadcast and it was taken quite fast. But I am now reminded it was Ariel Bybee singing Jenny then.

However, the listing for that season shows Stratas singing one, and only one, performance before Bybee took the role for the rest of the season. I wonder what was up with that. She'd been singing Lulu early in the season, but those were finished before Mahagonny.

Ah, and now I'm reminded that that season was nearly cancelled due to labor disputes.

Well as far as TOD

Stuffed peppers
Meatloaf
Roast chicken
Quesadillas
Chili
Chicken with mushrooms onions and cherry tomatoes
Eggs Benedict
Omlettes with cheese and sautéed onions, mushrooms, roasted red peppers and ham
A half butt ham,
Sandwiches, lots of sandwiches
Sausages
Many, many pots of tea

That’s off the top of my head

I keep hearing that everyone's home with nothing to do, but I've had more to do than usual and simply can't keep up. One must stay current with the news these days, as everything changes so quickly. I'm not fully caught up on the posts, either.

There was most definitely an earthquake here last night. I was just about to go to bed when there was quite a jolt, one of those over-quickly shakes as opposed to the rolling kind that seem to last forever. I didn't hear where it was centered, but it was strong enough for me to check to see if any of the windows had cracked.

I was expecting aftershocks, but didn't feel any. I was surprised I was able to sleep. Insomnia is bad enough on its own, without earthquakes -- or the fear thereof -- adding to it.
