At the end of the countdown to starting time, YouTube was reporting 60 people waiting for it.

I took the luxury of expanding the YouTube window to full screen, so I didn't see or take part in any chat, in case others were doing that. I simply wanted to watch and enjoy, and by gum, watch and enjoy I did. It was so damned enjoyable, I'll be ready for another one at any time.

Very much enjoyed the commentary, and I think the funny stuff worked fine without audience response. BK referenced people sending hearts and things during it, and I guess that's only from the Facebook side. Did anyone make comments as it went along, or was that turned off?

To follow on DR Jeanne's question, I'll just say I'm amazed at how anyone -- pianist, singers, anyone -- deals with clicks and tracks and re-recordings and all that modern day stuff. I'd certainly be open to learning it myself. In fact, I should be learning it. But there were only a couple of places where I said, "Aha! He/She missed a beat on the track" or something like that. But everyone was such a pro that there seemed not the slightest chance of anything really derailing.

Something I always appreciate is a generous amount of history about a song or a show or a person as part of the running commentary, and BK is one of those people who knows how to deliver. That kind of thing is much appreciated in this house.

Yes, it came off very well indeed. All pros.

Something as simple as performers assembling with an accompanist and performing is suddenly altogether different when we can't assemble. Kind of mindboggling technically--at least to me.

The tally was - at its peak, 78 on Facebook, and 139 on YouTube. I couldn't watch on Facebook. No one else had any issues there but for me it was hiccuping, so I watched on YouTube, where, yes, there were comments aplenty, and I monitored the hearts and comments on Facebook - there were 603 comments during the show. The show, for those who missed it (you know who you are) is still up at Facebook and on YouTube.

I can barely tote the 37 lbs! I was just comparing prices on my litter: $25.95 at Amazon, $15.95 at Petco.

Believe me, when I get these home and UPSTAIRS to the room where the litter boxes are, I’m about done for the day. (This is also where having a car and a nearby Costco make all the difference!)

In 1966 I worked at the Bruin Theater when this was showing. One day Tony Bill came in to see the movie. Another girl & working behind the candy counter were all smiles over the super cute guy we helped. After he went in to the movie the door man couldn't stop laughing because we had no clue it was Tony Bill. He was much better looking in person

I couldn't remember if it was the Village or the Bruin. It opened there on December 9, 1966 and I must have seen it either on my birthday or a day or two after. Did I say hi to you?

If it opened on the 9th you probably saw it after your birthday If you saw me you said hello. I expect it was initially very busy. Tony Bill went in on a semi quiet showing.

Why I can’t I figure out what movie you are all talking about?
