Yesterday while I was Lowe's buying my daisy and my bathtub spout, I was wearing my JOSEPH AND THE AMAZING T.D. from the first production I did back in 1993.....

As I was walking down the main aisle to Aisle 13 where internet said my faucet was waiting.

Suddenly one of the workers who was walking toward me said:  "Oh, hey that's a great show!"

I said, "Yes, it is.  I love it."

Then he said: "I played in the pit for it when I lived in the East.  Do you know who did it first?"

I said: "Bill Hutton was on Broadway......[no reaction]...but Donny Osmond also did it....."

"Right!" he said.....

I asked him: "Did you do the Megamix?"

He said: "The what?"

I said: "At the end, you practically do the whole show over in about 9 minutes....."

He said: "...??...."

I said: "Okay, have a good day!"

After a building chase with Stella and Annabelle, this video of Michael Kidd's Quadrille from Cole Porter's Can-Can cheered me right up!

As I took the laundry to the basement, Stella darted out ahead of me.  I had my hands full with laundry and supplies, so I figured I would catch her when I got back.  I found her on two, and she ran from me to the first floor landing. I was only wearing my socks and they're too slippery for the stairs so I went back to the apartment to put on my shoes and Annabelle slipped past me into the hall.  I put on my shoes, caught Annabelle, put her back in the apartment, and went in search of Stella.  I found her on one, caught her, and brought her up, ready to brain two cats.

Well, here's some good news.  Thatch will be very happy.  His salmon treat is finally back in stock at Amazon.

Yay.

Cats are experts at escaping through doors.  Once I was an expert at preventing them from escaping.  I wonder if I am limber enough anymore.

I wonder why I never knew about Melville's Two Men in Manhattan. I must see this.

Laundry is in the dryers.  Cats are all settled in for naps.  That's all good.

I seem to recall In Society had some excellent music in it.

The kittens are gone. I wonder if they encountered the skunk.

It’s fun. Love the music and the black and white cinematography.

Did Trude Rittiman arrange that?

That whole program was a joy. Donna McKechnie with Charley’s Place from Over Here! Glynis Johns with Send in the Clowns.

Genevieve Pitot was dance arranger for Can-Can.  I knew her nephew many years ago, Bruce Something, he taught at Hofstra.

We just did a video tribute to a friend who is retiring.  His son has organized it.  I am guessing it is a surprise though that wasn't mentioned.  We did 3 takes before submitting the video.  I like it :)

For several years we have been waiting for this friend to retire so we could take a cruise to the Galapagos.  I have known his wife since jr high and she was one of my brides maids.  We just cancelled the October trip.  I am more disappointed not to be traveling with our friends than the missing the trip.

I didn't go to Staples, so I hope to get there tomorrow.  I still haven't dragged out the Big Ladder to put the cat food away either.  Shoot me.

Watching my hometown Shakespeare company present a banjo-flavored production of As You Like It in Civil War garb. Don’t know why, but the words still speak true.

I'm up, I'm up - a little over eight hours of sleep.  The stupid neighbors were making with their bombast starting at seven-fifteen and it's SILL going on.  I finally just slept through most of it.

Re yesterday’s TOD

I have never used zoom.  We have occasionally  used Skype with the Vixter and  Vixhubby , particularly every Christmas when we sit in front of our respective trees and have breakfast and open gifts together
