And as DR JOHN G said the musical numbers in BUCK PRIVATES are terrific.....you can't beat Patti, Maxine, and LaVerne.....

I just wish Universal had put the Four Jacks & Jills in there, too.

Finished watching SHIP OF FOOLS last night, and enjoyed it. There certainly are scenes that could use some trimming, but I was pretty well engrossed by the proceedings. I want to do some reading up on it, then return to it for a good straight through viewing.

Never a fan of the film.

However, one day when they were filming, a friend who worked at Columbia got me onto the set and everybody (Vivien Leigh, Simone Signoret, Lee Marvin, George Seagal, etal) was working that day.  Not only that: watching them film was Spencer Tracy.

Quite a thrill for a young guy who'd just moved to Hollywood a 4-5 months earlier.

DR JANE I didn't mind the kids yelling yesterday.  And I did make a discovery yesterday.

I had been complaining about the little girl down the street screaming at the top of her lungs.....I was blaming the wrong person.

The screamer is the eight year old blond boy who plays basketball very well - I have never seen him miss a shot....but he sure can scream!  LOL.....

It's too hot for vacuuming with a rotten vacuum cleaner, but I did get the area around the AC and pulled the plug to check it out.  I still have half of the apartment to go but I needed a break in front of the Big Fan.

It was a beautiful day today, but I live in Washington State, so it was 80 degrees and not 99 degrees.

DR TCB I am sorry it has taken so long for you to get an appointment for your CT scan.  I was lucky I had a new doctor to find a place, and make my appointment for me, for my DEXA.

I did an HHW search, looking for a possible comment about my current air conditioner and its purchase date, but the search goes no further back than 2017.

I'm up, I'm up - six hours of sleep and needed much more but Grant came to tell me they're tree trimming today and I had to move my car.  I may try for another hour.

I just spoke to Lenox Hill Hospital about Monday.  I have to be there by 5:30 for surgery at 7:45.

Earlier today I saw Jeff the super and asked him about the air conditioner.  He said he would look into it, and I told him I doubted I would see him again before my return from hospital, and he wished me well.

I was hoping he might be able to get it fixed before you return from the hospital.

Our libraries reopen June 15. The stories don’t say if you have to wear a mask, but you do have to have your temperature taken. There will be no browsing, only pickup of reserved items.

Our local mall said some stores are now offering curbside pick up.  See's unfortunately wasn't mentioned.

While passing behind the condo complex near us we smell and saw smoke.  There was also a book of matches on the stone wall.  Looking over the wall as best he could, through the upper half of the rod iron fence, he figured it was safe enough for us to continue on.

On our way back there smoke was a bit worse.  Keith thought to call our condo manager who in turn called theirs.  We waited for someone to come out to show him where the smoke was.
